FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE InSite One’s InDex® Archive Reaches Over 31 Million Studies 4.5% of the US Patient Population Wallingford, CT - February 18, 2009 - InSite One, Inc. announces today that the InDex® Archive has reached a new milestone with over 31 million studies in this single object repository representing approximately 4.5% of the United States diagnostic imaging patient population in 2008. This active repository of cardiology, radiology, mammography and other non-x-ray images represents a unique perspective of data generated from multiple vendors across the imaging marketplace and includes tremendous variation in imaging utilization. Created and consumed as an on-demand storage model in a growing number of clinical sites, the InDex service provides protection from the variation in exam sizes by a predictable fee-per-study cost model. This consumption model allows healthcare institutions the freedom to preserve cash and to spend capital dollars on programs that can create new sources of revenue.

Newly contracted institutions added to InSite One’s over 500 client sites include Vanguard Health Systems in Nashville, TN; Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA; and Physicians Hospital in El Paso, TX. A total of 23 imaging center and hospital contracts have been received in the last 90 days.

“The growth that InSite One has experienced is due to the market’s increased confidence level in a storage service provider model. Our operating budget model resonates well during these capital preservation times as the continued need for protection of vital health care data grows,” states Mitchell Goldburgh, Senior Vice President of InSite One.

For a decade InSite One’s InDex service has provided customers with traditional storage services that preserve their investment in PACS and other clinical applications. This strategic alliance of services

with clinical operations continues with the release of InDex 6.0, that will be announced at HIMSS 2009 (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) Conference, which includes a rich feature set including HL7 driven workflow to enhance local access to stored data across the enterprise; the ability to bridge multiple PACS and reconcile multiple patient identifiers into single internal patient centric archive and to archive and manage DICOM and non-DICOM data through queriable document registry using XDS.

About InDex® (Powering the Digital Medical Storage Management System) InSite One’s patented InDex storage management services deliver a powerful suite of intelligent, standards-based solutions that adhere to DICOM, HL7, and XDS (cross document sharing) protocols. The on-demand repository ensures rapid retrieval of clinical information throughout the enterprise with retention for their legal-life in a tamper-proof HIPAA compliant environment.

InSite One manages the long-term storage requirements on-site or at one of InSite One’s secure Tier-4 mirrored datacenters with disaster recovery services which include restoration of up to 2 terabytes of data within 24 hours in case of a catastrophic event. InSite One’s InDex solutions include obsolescence protection, a solution for limiting the management of physical resources of the healthcare institution, seamless data migration, ongoing IT support that keep pace with evolving needs and technological advances.
