Innocent Heroes Foundation (IHF) Opening doors for tomorrow………...

About the Group Innocent Heroes Foundation (founded by Mr. Prashant Kothadiya, Former Head, Sakaal Social Foundation and Director for The Alliance for Global Education and Miss Sheetal Kharka, former Vice President HSBC, Commercial Banking and a Investment Banker ) have been created to provide a platform of opportunities and do promotional activities focusing on the personality development , extra-curricular skills and talents for the underprivileged children coming from the different parts of the society and back ground and play a crucial role in the overall development of the child.. They are called underprivileged because they are orphan, have been begging on the streets, been abandoned by their parents, rape and molested victims, lost from their families, are from broken homes, are children of sex workers, live in slums and are destitute and some have been involved in some or the other crime. These children are taken care by various NGO. These NGO provide them with shelter, food, basic health care and basic education. However many NGO’s lack the focus of personality development and building self confidence in these children. There is a huge gap between the NGO and the real world. IHF is a bridge to this gap. IHF believes that there is something beyond just giving basic food, education and shelter…A secured Future, a life! Building confidence in theses children to go out in the world and stand on their own feet and earn their own living with grace and dignity and make them competent, to face the challenges of life without getting scared and embarrassed, has been the prime motto of the Innocent Heroes Foundation. IHF provides platform of opportunities to bring out the talents and creativity in them be it in Sports, Art, Culture, Music, Adventure, Dance, vocational training and many more. To nurture and grow the “hero” in an underprivileged child.….

Dance Work shop by internationally acclaimed Dancer and Choreographer Sandip Soparrkar SAVE WATER, YEAR 2070 PLANET EARTH A Universal Awareness Project on SAVE WATER Innocent Heroes Foundation is inspired and moved by a theme and story written by our former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Azad , which depicts the water scarcity in the year 2070 and how it will affect our and our children’s life THEN if we don’t SAVE WATER TODAY. This article was published in the magazine “Crónicas de los Tiempos“, in April 2002. It gives you Goosebumps and a lump in the throat to know that lack of water will make a 20 years old look like 40.!! The average life expectancy of a human being in the year 2070 will be 35 only..!! We will use only towels and mineral oils to clean our skin, where as we enjoy having shower for half an hour today and we have lots of trees in the parks, houses with beautiful gardens and we can wash our cars. Women will have to shave their head because there will be no water to keep them clean and beautiful. All the river, lakes, dams, and underground water beds will be dry and contaminated. Oxygen also will be degraded due to lack of trees and vegetation, and the intellectual capacity of the new generations will be severely impaired. Today the recommended quantity of water to drink for an adult is 8 glasses a day, we will be allowed half a glass. What more government will make us pay for the air we breathe 137m3 pr day per adult person..!! We think that water will last forever but that’s not true, Water cannot be produced. Water will become a very coveted treasure, more precious than gold and diamonds..!! We have to SAVE WATER now. There fore Innocent Heroes Foundation has taken up this initiative to spread the message across the globe and help people not feel guilty in the year 2070 ,because we belong to the generation who are contributing to the destruction of the environment where in we have time to SAVE THE PLANET EARTH. The underprivileged children will help us spread the message across through the medium of dance and music and tell the most privileged society to save water. To tell people of the consequences of wasting water . WE don’t care of our environment today and simply do not take into account all the warning signs of SAVE WATER and SAVE THE EARTH. To begin with, IHF organized a half a day dance workshop with Sandip Soparrkar (internationally acclaimed and prominent dancer and choreographer) and his team. Around 200 underprivileged children between the age group of 10 to 15 years had gathered in Endurance Fitness club, E square on 2nd Oct in the afternoon to participate in the workshop .11 NGOs from across Pune had shown keen interest in having their children participate in such kind of activity which had never

been organized before. It was a very unique experience for all the 200 children, especially for those who had never been out of their village before. Children were full of joy, grinning and awestruck while making that different kind of move of contemporary dance. They were only exposed to the bolly wood form of dance. The workshop was organized as a selection process to select the best dancers who will be performing on a National and eventually on an international level since it’s a Universal subject.

Children in the dance workshop. The Music for the same has been composed by DJ Rafsy,. He is a renowned music producer based in Delhi and has been a brain behind many corporate jingles, recorded and programmed music for shot movies under US banner, remixes for bollywood and fashion Industries. We truly believe the only way to reach the society and give them a message is through the medium of dance and music. The impact is profound and lasting in the minds.

Innocent Heroes foundation will tie-up with various organization such as NGO, Health organization and large corporate across India and associate with them to put up the program and spread the message in the appropriate manner. These children will undergo training in different technical dance form of contemporary and kathak to bring out the essence of dance ballet and the water theme. What could be better to spread the message through dance and music that breaks the barrier of language, religion, caste , class , color and creed.

The success Innocent Heroes Foundation is extremely happy with the success of their entire event. It was beyond success; each and every child has come out as a winner in its own way. The activities have made major differences in their personality development and self-confidence. They are less shy now, we can see that they are fearless of the challenges of their life and feel that they are extremely lucky to have this opportunity given by IHF.
