In the Torin firm BERTONE a body of this type was designed by a young GIORGETTO GIUGIARO, inspired in previus AR vehicle Sprint Speciale. In the body of Giulia GT were mounted the engines of the same type, but of different capacities: 1300, 1600, 1750 in 2000 ccm. Some parts were changed according to typs: grill, bumpers with or without over riders, two or four head lamps, bigger or smaller rear lamps, bonnet with or without front gap, fascia with wholly or partly sinked instruments (two variants), etc. Beside type GT in the same body also a type GTA was built with tunned engine 1300 or 1600 ccm in aluminium bonnet, boot lid, doors and roof. The vehicle weight was reduced from cca 1000kg to 750kg. Type GTA was very succesfull in races and rallies world-wide. Giulia GT in GTA of different types was produced from year 1963 to 1975 in total 210.495 vehichels, of which type in 4100 exemples. This car was in the year 2001 restored by Boris Vrhunc according to producers specification.
