Candidates belonging to the Reserved Category (SC / ST / OBC / PWD), filling in vacancies reserved for the relevant category, will be entitled to a relaxation of 5% Marks in relation to that stipulated for General Category Candidates. Selection Procedure: The final selection will be made on the basis of the candidate’s performance in: A. Written Objective Test: 300 Marks, B. Personal Interview: 100 Marks Qualifying Marks: In order to qualify for interview the candidate is required to obtain minimum 40 % marks in each objective test (35% marks for Reserved Category) and 50% marks in all the Objective Tests taken together. Syllabus for Bank of India (Clerical) Written Examination (Objective): Number of Questions: 200, Maximum Marks: 300, Time Allowed: 90 minutes 1. Test of Reasoning & Numerical Aptitude (100 Questions, 200 Marks) 2. Test of Clerical Aptitude (50 Questions, 50 Marks) 3. Test of English Language (50 Questions, 50 Marks) (B) Written Examination (Descriptive): This test consists of higher order cognitive abilities to assess knowledge on current developments and communication skills. Descriptive Test is only a qualifying one not reckoned for merit ranking, i.e. one must obtain a minimum of 50% marks and 35% marks for SC/ST/OBC category but the marks so obtained are not added in the aggregate marks for preparing merit list. Duration: 60 minutes, Marks: 100 (5 compulsory questions with internal options) (D) Personal Interview A personal interview of 100 Marks shall be conducted to assess the candidate’s academic record interpersonal relations adaptability, courtesy motivation, general demeanor and attitude towards work, communication skill etc. The minimum qualifying marks for interview would be 50% (45% for Reserved Category).
