INDIAN ETHOS & VALUES In Indian Ethos and values here the word Ethos means distinctive character or culture and values means utilities and importance. The word Ethics is derived from the word ‘Ethods’. Indian ethos means application of principle of management revealed in in our ancient wisdom which are described in our epics. Indian ethos or Indian thoughts has been defined as that corpus (collection of works) of Theory, Principle and Practices which had blossomed and reached perfection (excellence) in the geographical territory Bharata Barsha. Long before other cultural waves cross into India. By Indian Ethos we don’t mean the currently visible perversions i.e. sexual matters, self-wilt, way ward, crudities (rough or vulgar).
