There were 6 panels and I was in panel 5. There were more or less 10 candidates for each GD. The group was given with 2 topics and the group had to select one. There were 3 phases of GD. 1st was the GD, followed by monologue and ended with a summary writing. The panel seems to be a bit harsh. We, the group of 10, were seated n a semicircular fashion. There were numbers put against each candidate. I was given number 16(1+6=7 my lucky number). One person from the corner took one envelope and read the topic"Foreign Universities are providing better educational perspectives for professionals in India". The moderator asked if we all were ok with that and every one was ok. But then the person who had picked the envelope asked if we all wanted him to read the other topic. On this, the moderator went furious. And we were not given the second topic for option. We were given 5minutes to think and then a buzzer went off. I started the GD comparing the Indian and foreign universities. It was a good GD, there was no fish market. People came with their own opinions. There were some people who didn’t speak at all. After some 7-8 minutes a buzzer went off and that was a signal to stop. After that the moderator explained the second phase, which was monologue round. He told that there won’t be any sequence kind of thing and he would select anyone at random. First came number 16 and that was me. I gave my opinions and after 1 min, there was a buzzer which signaled me to stop. This way every one presented a monologue. After that the moderator explained the 3rd round. It was a summary writing phase. We were given 5 minutes for writing summary and we were given blank pages for that. The sheet that we used for GD was taken from us. The moderator told that he wanted to check our flow and our sentence formation. We were instructed not to use bullet points or numbers. I could not do well in this round. I had hardly started writing when the buzzer went off and we were ordered to drop the pen. After that we all were told to leave the room and wait outside for interview.
