ITM Institute of Financial Markets (ITM-IFM) was established with this very purpose in mind to train the next generation of Indian and International capital markets professionals and to provide access to the latest knowledge and tools in use globally. The Institute offers a range of educational programs catering to the needs of fresh students as well as experienced professionals in the broad field of finance, Capital Markets, Insurance and Risk Management . Situated right in the heart of one of Mumbai's most modern business districts- the Vashi Infotech Park, the ITM Institute of Financial Markets is at home in the most visually stunning business towers of Navi Mumbai - the BSEL Tech Park. Southern New Hampshire University, USA Established in 1932, SNHU is accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Prgorams (ACBCP) and the State of New Hampshire. A leader in high-level executive education, the University offers in-house management programs at some of the largest companies and US Government agencies such as HP Compaq, NASC, US NAVY etc. Since 1991, Institute for Technology and Management has collaborated with SNHU to offer joint-degree programs, exchange students and to enhance mutual academic standards. ICMA Centre, The University of Reading, UK The ICMA Centre was founded at the University of Reading in 1991 to provide postgraduate degrees in Securities, Investment and Banking, and academic oversight of the ICMA’s professional education programs. In 1998, the ICMA funded a new purpose-designed building to allow a major expansion in student numbers and to be the first to integrate a dealing room into its teaching and learning. It became the largest specialist provider of university-level securities market education in Europe. NASD by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and, under national law, virtually every broker-dealer in the U.S. that conducts securities business with the public must be a member of this private, not-for-profit organisation. FINRA International, a department of FINRA headquartered in London, leverages NASD’s nearly 70 years of experience as a regulator to offer consultancy and advisory services; education and training; regulatory technology; and dispute resolution programs. NSE.IT NSE.IT is an end-to-end Information Technology services & solutions organisation with expertise in a wide range of business applications including high-end mission critical applications requiring real-time processing speeds. NSE,IT is promoted by NSE. NSE.IT specialises in providing complete Information Technology solutions to Stock Exchanges, Clearing Corporations, Brokerage Firms and other organisations in Financial sector. One of its major clients is National Stock Exchange of India which is the world’s third largest stock exchange, in terms of transaciton volumes, after NASDAQ & NYSE. ITM-IFM has collaborated with NSE.IT in the development of the ITM Business Simulation Lab a securities dealing and financial studies laboratory, through the installation of NSE.IT solutions. The very same software platform, in use by the National Stock Exchange of India and its participants has been provided for use in the lab. Spider Software Pvt. Ltd. A globally renowned developer of software and tools for financial market analysis and research, Spider Software Pvt. Ltd. Develops real-time and historical, technical and fundamental analysis software that is use by a majority of capital market participants worldwide. By providing access to its software and data-streams is a key component of the ITM Business Simulation Lab. Spider’s IRIS Realtime Technical Analysis and Ace Market Analysis Software is extensively used in training participants in the methodologies of Fundamental & Technical Analysis. Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) ITM - IFM has tied up with the (FPSB) for promoting financial planning through the CFPCM certification program. ITM-IFM is an approved education provider of FPSB, which is a nonprofit association that manages, develops and operates certification, education and related programs for financial planning organizations so that they may benefit and protect the global community by establishing, upholding and promoting worldwide professional standards in personal financial planning. It houses 50,000 books, over 250 journals and subscribes to 45 specialized journals in different functional areas. ITM-IFM students have full access to the ITM Library. The Business Simulation Lab at Vashi has a specialist Finance Library. Students can access a whole universe of information through our two most prized research resources: EBSCO, the world's largest online archive of over 2000 business and management journals, news and research; and the Harvard Business Review Online, a comprehensive archive of full-text articles/research papers from the Harvard School of Business. Student Activities Board of Students The "Board of Students" of the Institute organizes seminars, workshops, contests and discussions on issues related to the world of finance. What makes the Financial Markets program unique is the live Business Simulation Lab (Securities Dealing Room) that forms the center-piece of this program. This Business Simulation Lab gives our students the ability to hone their trading and analytical skills in a realistic market environment, using the very same software and tools that are in use at modern dealing rooms the world over. Inspired by stalwart institutions such as the International Capital Markets Association (ICMA) Center at University of Reading and the New York Institute of Finance, the ITM Institute of Financial Markets seeks to provide education and training at a level that has never before been attempted in India. The first academic offering from this effort is the Masters in Financial Markets: This program has been developed in collaboration with a range of industry experts and such companies as the National Stock Exchange, Reuters India and Spider Software. The program objective is to educate and train students in the operations of modern financial markets, with a focus on equities, derivatives, forex and commodities markets, in the Indian and international context. Business Simulation Lab is the first of its kind in India, and the 6th in the world, for training Program Participants in a real-time, live market environment simulation. The Lab provides hands-on, real-world training in Securities, Derivatives, Commodities and Foreign Exchange Trading. This setup features actual exchange software from NSE.iT, live data feeds from Reuters India and the Industry-standard in analysis and charting tools from Spider Software. The lab is in IT Park Area at Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The main campus is in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.

The assessment of students' performance is continuous. This is based on class participation, home assignments, case analysis and presentations, quizzes, mid-term exam and final (term end) exam. The faculty members give the scheme of assessment to the students in the beginning of the term. On the basis of over all performance in each subject the students are given quality points / grades as follows: Marks Secured (in percentage) 70 & above 60 - 69 55 - 59 50 - 54 Less than 50

Minimum Expected Performance and Program Completion Requirements

To clear a subject successfully a student must secure "D" or a better grade in that subject. To complete the program successfully a student must secure” D” or a better grade in all subjects including Summer Project and Internship. Fs are given either due to failure in exams or due to poor attendance. If a student fails to write an exam for medical or some other genuine reasons Director / Academic Coordinator Masters in Financial Markets (MFM) on a case-to-case basis, can allow the student to re-write exam. In addition to getting “D” or a better grade in all subjects the students must also complete the summer project and Internship successfully as described earlier. In summer project as well as Internship too the students must get “D” or a better grade.

Attendance

All the students are required to attend minimum 90% of the lectures conducted for every subject. Any absence from classes is permitted only with a prior permission of the concerned faculty. If a student does not complete the minimum attendance requirement due to health / medical problem or any such reason justified to the faculty, his / her attendance shortage may be condoned. However in no case attendance should be less than 75%. ITM IFM from time to time shall offer its students advantages of Loyalty Programs of companies supplying useful goods and services, such as cell phone plans, media, Internet service providers, restaurants and recreation firms, clothing brands, travel operators, credit cards etc. In addition a students' health and accident insurance shall be offered for a period of eighteen months to all candidates. A Doctor- on-Call or Resident Doctor has been appointed for students' health related matters.
