ADOPTION OF THE TERMS OF REFERENCE OF THE IACVAWC National Commission on the Role of Filipino Women establishes the Inter-Agency Council (NCRFW) Children (IACVAWC) composed of Secretariat

WHEREAS, Section 39 of RA 9262, on Violence Against Women and Their the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) as the chair; Department Civil Service of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) as the co-chair; with the National Commission Civil Service Commission on the Role of the Filipino Women (NCRFW); (CSC) Commission (CSC); Commission on Human Rights (CHR); Council for the Welfare of Children (CWC); Department of Justice (DOJ); Philippine National Police (PNP); Commission on Human Department of Department of Health (DOH); Department of Education (DepEd); Rights (CHR) Labor and Employment (DOLE); and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) as members. The Council members are primarily mandated to formulate programs Department of Education and projects to eliminate violence against women and their children (VAWC) based on their mandates, develop capability building programs(DepED) for their employees to become more sensitive to the needs of their clients. The Council shall serve as the Department of Health monitoring body of VAW initiatives; (DOH)

Justice to observe a set WHEREAS, to effectively perform its tasks, the IACVAWCofagreed (DOJ) of procedural rules in conducting meetings, frequency of meetings, creation of subcommittees, decision-making, proper agency representation and other related Department of Labor and functions; Employment (DOLE)

WHEREAS, the Secretariat prepared the Terms of Reference which IACVAWC Council for the Welfare discussed and finalized during the past Council meetings; of Children (CWC)

NOW, THEREFORE, ON MOTION DULY SECONDED, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the members of the IACVAWC, that the TERMS OF REFERENCE shall be approved and adopted; DONE this 16th day of October in the year of the Lord, Two Thousand Eight, in Manila, Philippines.
