HYBRID VEHICLE PARKING PROGRAM Vehicles displaying an authorized Hybrid Vehicle Placard are allowed to park FREE at all downtown parking meters for a period of time not to exceed the limit of meter. Please note that some meters have restricted hours of use, which apply to everyone. This measure was approved by City Council as a pilot program and will end on April 30, 2007, unless extended by Council approval. Participation in the program is for Hybrid Vehicles only and eligibility will be determined by the approval of the registration form. Complete the registration form and attach the appropriate documents. All paperwork must be presented in person to the Parking Division at 243 N. Center Street, Suite 202, San Antonio, Texas 78202. Placards are distributed between 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday (except holidays). The placards are issued at No Charge and are limited to one per authorized vehicle owner. If the placard is lost, a new one will be sold for a $10.00 administration fee. Placards must be displayed on the rear view mirror of the registered vehicle with the green side facing the front windshield. Attach a copy of proof of ownership and official documentation that the vehicle is a hybrid to this registration form. 2. Placard must be attached to the rear view mirror with the green side facing the front windshield. 3. Placard is not transferable. It is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to contact the Parking Division of any changes in the vehicle status. Note: Unauthorized transfer of the placard may result in impoundment of the vehicle. 4. Vehicle is subject to citations and towing for on-street parking violations or if parked for longer than the limit of the parking meter. 5. Documented misuse or abuse of the placard will result in cancellation of parking privileges.
