In from the lungs:
1.Vena Cava
1.Pulmonary vein
2.Right atrium
2.Left atrium
3.Tricuspid Valve
3.Bicuspid valve
4.Right ventricle
4.Left ventricle

Condition of Blood in the Heart
Shown in blue
1.As blood comes from the body, it has high levels of Carbon Dioxide. 2.It is then pumped through the right side of the heart and out to the lungs to remove Carbon Dioxide and add Oxygen to the blood

Condition of Blood in the Heart
Shown in Red
3.As the blood moves from the lungs it has a large amount of Oxygen. 4.It is pumped into the left side of the heart and then out to the body.

How the blood flows n
Blood enters the two to chambers of the heart, called the atrium
n
Because they are made of muscle, they are able to squeeze together or contract
n
When this happens, blood is pumped to the two bottom chambers, called the ventricle, which are relaxed.

Valves nA
n
valve is a doorlike part that opens in only one direction; keeps blood flowing in only one direction.
There are 4 main valves in the heart: n Tricuspid valve n Bicuspid valve n 2 semi lunar valves
