Lauren Bliss Dr. Beurtheret History 1510 28 March 2019 How Does the Modern World History Course Contribute to your General Education? The Modern World History course contributes to my education in the following ways: I learn more about the world around me and the current position the world is in based on the past, I have learned to look at certain events with a different perspective, and the course itself contributes to general education credit towards an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences. The Modern World History course has contributed to me general education of the world I live in. World politics dominate a lot of the decisions and rights I have and choose to act upon. This course has helped me learn where we as a country come from, and its connections to the world around me. I was able to gain information about how World War I and World War II contributed to present times. I also have been able to learn different relationships between the European country and their origins, and how those countries act today because of their history. The Modern World History course contributed to my general education by helping me learn and understand the world around me based on its history. The Modern World History course contributed to my general education by helping me view certain events with different perspective. In this class, we focused heavily on looking at things differently, like King Louis the XIV, or the French Revolution. By looking at different things differently, I have learned that things aren’t always as they seem, and that there are more

Bliss 2 than just two sides. Viewing circumstances through different perspectives is something that I can apply to other classes and throughout my general education outside of this class. Viewing events differently has made me more aware of everything around me. The Modern World History course contributed to my general education by helping me view certain events through different perspectives. The Modern World History class contributed to my general education by giving me the credit to graduate. Having a college education is important to me and my future. By taking this class, I will be able to graduate from Salt Lake Community College with my Associates of Applied Science in General Studies. Taking this class has been able to give the credit needed. I will always be glad I was able to get the class credits I needed from this course. The Modern World History class has contributed to my general education by giving me the credit to graduate in May 2019. The Modern World HIstory class has contributed to my general education in a variety of ways, through helping me understand why the world is the way it is today, viewing circumstances and events from different perspectives, and giving me the credit to graduate. I have learned from this course and am glad for the contribution it has made for me.
