Il Saluto del Presidente di Tennis Europe It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the final rounds of this third edition of the Tennis Europe Nations Challenge by HEAD. The 2009 competition has attracted a record entry of 31 nations, and looks set to be the toughest competition yet. This exciting tournament is the official European Team Championship event for Under 12s, and for many of the players present, this represents a first opportunity to play for their national teams, a first step on a ladder that for some will lead one day to doing so in the Davis Cup or Fed Cup. Over the next few days, the eight teams to have fought through to these final rounds will compete for the honour of being Tennis Europe Nations Challengeby HEAD champions. The Tennis Europe Nations Challengeby HEAD is presented in association with the world’s leading tennis equipment manufacturer, HEAD. I would like to thank them for their enthusiastic support for the competition, and Tennis Europe in general. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the participating national tennis associations for supporting the event, and also the great many people involved at club level, the tournament organisers and officials who have played a role in the staging of the competition. E’ un grande piacere darvi il benvenuto al girone finale di questa terza edizione del Tennis Europe Nations Challenge By Head. La Competizione del 2009 ha registrato un numero rekord di 31 nazioni, Questo emozionante torneo è il Campionato Europeo a Squadre Ufficiale per Under 12, e per molti dei giocatori presenti, rappresenta una prima occasione di giocare per la propria nazione, un primo passo di un lungo percorso che un giorno porterà alcuni di loro a vivere un’esperienza simile nella Coppa Davis o nella Fed Cup. Tra alcuni giorni le otto squadre che hanno combattuto per accedere a questi gironi finali, si contenderanno l’onore di essere i campioni del Tennis Europe Nations Challenge Head.
