A Half-Elf Army For Warhammer Fantasy Battle Many centuries ago a proud and militaristic high elf family was exiled for some slight to the myriad complex laws of politeness in the Phoenix King’s court. After months at sea they were wrecked upon the shores of Albion. They were attacked by fell creatures at every turn and shunned by the human tribes, soon what was a family of thousands was cut down to just seven hundred. Minhir, the patriarch of the clan knew the dire peril of a lonely exile, put on his dwindling clan and allowed his people to take wives and husbands from the local human warrior tribes, this influenced the culture of the colony, making it tribal and warlike, and proud. After a couple of centuries, the children of the mixed race began to age. Minhir realised that the blood mix had lead to mortality amongst his people; they lived for thousands of years but did die. This lead to a greater love of life amongst the Forgotten as they were now known, and the development of an independent culture, freer than high elf society, more open than wood elf, and imbued with a fearlessness and love of live neither culture possessed. Minhir was mortally wounded in a battle against Orcs however on his deathbed he said, “Though we are forgotten, we have found in our deaths the secret to life, we are a growing people, we are a fighting people we know the truth”. When threatened the tribes of the forgotten band together under a warchief and amass on the plain of battle and let vent their fury.

Universal Special Rules Blood is thicker than water. The half elves fight in strict family or tribal groupings. Therefore no warband may be bigger than 25 strong Rivalry, All half-elf champions wish to show how great they are in front of their Lords and Kings. For each core warrior warband (not archers or noble cavalry) not encaged roll a d6, if 6 the unit rushes an extra 2d6 towards the enemy. If this brings them into contact with an enemy unit it counts as a charge, if this brings them into contact with any sort of terrain the unit must halt and remains unformed. The rule of one Only one of the Lord characters may ride a war beast the rest must be on foot or mounted on an elf steed. Hero and Sage Characters may only choose from the Pegasus or Great eagle and again only one may have a war beast, the rest must be on a steed or foot.
