NATIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY Region 10 (Name of Homeowner’s Assoc.)

GUIDELINES OF ELECTION 1. All members of the Association in good standing and listed in the recent Updated Master list of members/ beneficiaries may participate in the electoral process. 2. Candidate must be a permanent resident in _____(Name of HOA and Address)______,; a bonafide member and must have a leadership quality. 3. Candidate shall file for candidacy _____________________ during the ________________and shall fill –up the forms, submit the same on the dates prescribed by the Election Committee. The official list of candidates shall be disseminated and posted at the designated polling place. Members of the Election Committee are not eligible for voting. 4. Campaign Posters and / or other paraphernalia shall be posted only in designated area identified by the ELECOM. Such materials shall be made of low cost materials. 5. Only candidates evaluated and declared by the ELECOM are qualified to run and campaign for the said position. 6. Official Ballot shall be provided. Voting shall be from 8:00am to 12:00nn on the date specified. Members may vote personally or by proxy. Designation of proxies shall be in writing duly signed by the concerned member using appropriate form. Both husband and wife has equal rights to vote and to be voted/ or as determined in the Master list of members. ‘’One membership one vote policy’’ is observed. The duly designate person is given the priority to vote based on the list of voters. 7. Schedules and dates in the preparation in the conduct of Election: General Assembly Schedule for filling of candidacy Campaign Period Election Day Canvassing of Votes Validation of Election Returns Proclamation of Winners

8. If voter is unable to write, the ELECOM Member can assist according to his / her desired candidate to vote for. 9. Counting of Votes will be done and proclamation of winners will follow.

10. As a policy, Board of Resolution shall be passed stating the new set of officers as mandated by its By – Law of the association, copy furnished the offices of the NHA and the Brgy. _____________________ 11. Election protest, if there are any, may be filed within two (2) days from the date of election, if not contrary to the existing by –laws of the association to resolve the controversy the same shall be heard and resolved based on the merits of the compliant.

12. Depending on the desire of the majority, Oath of Office for elected officers shall be scheduled the soonest possible time.
