A Guided Tour of The student will analyze the various roles played by the President of the United States including Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Chief Executive, Chief Agenda Setter, Representative of the Nation, Chief of State, Foreign Policy Leader, and Party Leader. The student will also describe the qualifications for becoming President of the United States.

The state of the union address is felt by many Americans as the agenda for the year. The president outlines they things he would like Americans and policy leaders to focus on in the year. Activity 1: Students will ready the article and give a brief summary of above five sentences. This word find allows the students to say and search for the presidents by their last name. Getting familiar with the name of the presidents will help them in later education. Activity 1: Students will say and look for the last name of the president in the word find. While students are learning the role and qualifications of the president they need to become familiar with former presidents. This activity will be turned in as an extra

homework assignment to boost students grades at the end of the semester if needed. The president is the leader of the executive branch of government. The president is chief over many appointed and non appointed persons within the administration. He maintains this government through appointments and timely schedules. Activity 1: The student must name three powers that the president of the United States has that are contained in this article. Also no one can be president for more than two terms. Those who serve as president for more than two years under a term he has not been elected may only have one more term. Activity 1: Students will name another qualification they think should be included in the presidential office.

From what is his middle name, to what are the different rooms of the White House named after. Activity 1: Students will go online and take a ten question quiz which will familiarize their general knowledge concerning the current president and basic ideas about the white house. This activity will help the students develop knowledge about our current president. The students will earn a point for each question answered correctly to be added to their next test.

After reading this example the student will write a brief summary about the example and tell why they agree or disagree with how the president handled the situation.
