Athletic Union ‐ Club Grants    Each year AU Clubs are eligible to apply for a grant from the Union Society to help support  the running of their club over the course of the year. This usually amounts to a total of  £50,000 per year to be distributed amongst ALL (60) AU CLUBS, so please be realistic in your  application!  A Club can only apply for a grant after a year of running successfully on its own.    Clubs can only use their grant money to subsidise the following:    Any affiliation fees to National Governing Bodies  Any non‐BUSA travelling expenses  Any non‐BUSA umpires / officials fees  Any non‐BUSA accommodation  Coaching expenses (not including tripartite coaching – i.e. a third paid by Sports  Centre, a third by the Union and a third paid by club itself)  Entry fees to non‐BUSA leagues / tournaments  Additional facility hire to that already provided by the Sports Centre / AU    You cannot purchase any of the following from your Club’s Grant account:  Kit / Clothing  Food  Any BUSA expenditure  Tripartite Coaching  Club Equipment (unless specified in writing by current AU Officer) 

Additional Information for BUSA expenses:  Please take note of the following regulations for BUSA leagues and competitions:    Travelling Expenses  If the vehicle is hired:  The AU will pay for the hire and insurance of any vehicles needed, but will NOT pay for  the cost of petrol.    If the vehicle is owned by the student:  The AU will pay for all petrol expenses. This will be based on mileage and will be the  average cost per mile at the time.    Accommodation Expenses  The AU will pay up to £10 per person per night for up to two nights towards accommodation  for BUSA events. 

  FOR ANYTHING ELSE, APPLICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS BY  THE AU EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS SUBJECT TO FUNDING FOR  THE YEAR.
