Calamba City School for the Arts conducts its annual celebration of Grammarian in the month of November, as part of the celebration; we would like to propose the following assignment, schedule and activities that we believe, will help the students to enhance and showcase their skills in English.

Hi teachers! Pls. read. As part of our celebration of the reading month this November, we are going to conduct various activities next week. Below is our schedule. MONDAY ACTIVITIES SPL TIME Teacher-in-charge: MJ Canicula Essay Writing- Open to all levels. Need to prepare: - Topic - Rubrics for scoring Schedule: Nov. 26, (Monday) Room: Grade 7 room. Teacher-in-charge: Mr. Marius Bravo with the ST. Quiz Bee (Spelling Bee) required to all Grade 7 Quiz Bee (Vocabulary) required to all Grad e 8 Quiz Bee (Grammar) required to all Grade 9 Quiz Bee(Literature) required to all Grade 10 Quiz Bee required to all Grade 11 Need to prepare: 3 levels Quiz Bee questions for elimination. Schedule: Nov. 26, (Monday) Rooms: Grade 7-10 rooms. Take note: Students are only allowed to join 1 particular contest. It’s either essay writing or quiz bee. Thank you! TUESDAY SPL TIME

Teacher-in-charge: Richelle Ann Gonzalez Debate Contest Participants: 3 students from Grade 10 and 3 from Grade11. Need to prepare: Argumentative Topic, rubrics for scoring, 2-3 judges and guidelines/process of the said contest.

Teacher-in-charge: Mrs. Joanna Lacdao On the Spot( Lights Camera Action) Participants: 2 students per Grade/section Need to prepare: -Think of a scenario that would showcase the acting and speaking skills of the students. - Guidelines/process of the said contest -2-3 judges -rubrics for scoring Venue/place of contest : Outside/Front of dance studio

WEDNESDAY SPL TIME Teachers-in-charge: Alelie Nagpala, Helen Abero, Edlyn Lyca Fronda, Mj Canicula Maximum of 5 participants from each grade level Poem contest- Grade 7 Declamation- Grade 8 Oration- Grade 9 Spoken Poetry- Grades 10 and 11 Need to prepare: -rubrics for scoring -Guidelines - 2-3 judges The contest piece is already distributed. Any suggestion? Venue/place of contest : Outside/Front of dance studio THURSDAY SPL TIME GRAMMARIAN’S FUN DAY Teacher-in-charge: Mr. Mark Fernandez and Arvin Paunlagui Need to prepare: Activities AWARDING!!!!!!
