Second year of SATS for Yr 8 Students moving to stage not age from Y8 KS2 in two years assessed in Yr.8. GCSEs mostly in Yr10. AS/GCSE Yr.11 AS/A2 Yr 10 A2/HE Modules/Cambridge Pre-U Yr.13 2 yr KS3, 2 yr KS4 Yr11 mixed (personalised). Currently about to be tweaked a little to offer even more personalisation. See attached papers. Drawing connection between subject areas, removing repetition in the curriculum and injecting more urgency and pace at KS3. The gained time in year 9 will be used to enable students to achieve CoPE awards, start GCSEs and take part in extended events designed to develop leadership and independent learning skills. Planning is underway for an 09 start for Year 7. A “curriculum wall” is being developed so that staff, governors and students can see what is currently studied each half term in each subject area – they will then be invited to suggest connections in a visitors’ book – before the best models and ideas are adopted.

Pupil researchers – carried out a review of uniform and made a number of changes. Currently looking at pupils researching learning at LGGS. Some pupils will be trained with staff to observe learning in lessons. (Building Learning Power learning review programme).
