July 25, 2018 To Whom It May Concern: This letter is in recommendation of Grace Rebber. I have known Grace for three years. Grace has been a student of mine in Sociology, as well as, Advanced Placement United States History (a dual credit course with Ivy Tech Community College). Grace has also been a dedicated member of the National Honor Society for which I help to oversee on the faculty council. She has been a pleasure to associate with in these capacities and I believe these combined experiences lead me to be exceptionally qualified to speak on Grace’s behalf addressing her character, abilities, and skills. I feel I have grown to know Grace well as a student and more importantly as a human being. Overall, Grace greatly exceeds expectations as a student, athlete, and most importantly, as a person. She has a standout work ethic along with wonderful organizational and goal setting abilities. Grace is truly a tribute to her strong family and religious values along with a keen sense of self. I am certainly proud and honored to have her as a student of Seymour High School. Grace thrives as a member of a team or working individually. Well thought of and well respected by her peers and members of the faculty would be one description of Grace. She is an example in her efforts to achieve success in her life. She is extremely involved in school, community, and church activities, including community service and many other extra and/or co-curricular activities such as: SHS varsity swim team and NHS. She also is a member of SHS Spanish Club, D.A.R.E. Role Models, 4H, and the SHS choral program. Her academic achievements, such as high honor roll and class rank in the top 15%, are even more impressive when taken into consideration with the number of hours she is dedicating to others as a teammate, contributing member of the community, or as friendly and helpful peer. These successes in many spheres of her life are not surprising as Grace is very sincere in her efforts to do her best in all areas. I have no doubt, with Grace’s maturity, compassion, and sense of responsibility; she will go on to a great deal of success in her life beyond high school. She has proven herself to be a person that will deal with triumph and failure through her positive life skills and will enjoy sharing her abilities, successes, and talents with the community around her. In short, Grace is an outstanding young woman. I give her my full recommendation without hesitation. Sincerely,
Shane R. Fallis Mr. Shane Fallis Social Studies Teacher Seymour High School 812-522-4384 Ex. 2225
