About the Project: The Rotaract Club of Saibaba Colony is organizing an interclub exchange program with the Rotaract club of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, R.I 3300, Malaysia, in the second week of December. This program is also a goodwill trip for the Rotaractors of Malaysia with a view exchange culture and to serve the community across borders.
About Rotaract club of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS The Rotaract Club of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS was chartered on the 26th day of June 2000 by the Rotary Club of Kinta during the presidency of Rtn.Arthur Yeong and the governorship of Allahyarham Dato' (Dr) Jaffar Mohd Ali. It belongs to the Rotary International District 3300 and their parent Rotary is “Rotary Club of Kinta”.

To promote eco‐tourism in India, by travelling to natural areas like Allepey, Thekkady and some more places of interest in Kerala. To serve the community beyond borders. Have an international understanding among the club members. And to exchange the culture of both countries.

Budget The total budget for each person during the trip for 7 days comes to Rs.4500, which involves accommodation, food and transport.
Detailed Project Description In Kerala On 10th December 2009, a five member team of Rotaract club of Saibaba Colony will leave for Cochin to receive the Malaysian Rotaractors and engage them for the further plans. The programe starts with a fellowship meeting between the two clubs followed by dinner. Few Rotarians from Rotary clubs of Cochin may also join the dinner. An eco‐tour has been arranged for the next 3 days for the Malaysian Rotaractors. From Cochin ÆAthirapalli falls ÆAllepy ÆThekadi Æ Coimbatore. The van starts by 6:00 am, from cochin to Athirapalli Falls, which will be a 2 hours drive. Breakfast at Athirapalli, followed by sight seeing. The team will then leave for Allepy, where the rotaractors will experience a complete new enviroinment. With the interior beauty if God’s own country. Stay has been arranged at the “House Boat” where we will be spending the night. Food will be cooked and searved in the boat itself. We utilise this time to share our culture, talk about country, economy, people, food, technology, rotaract, education, movies and lot more. The team will reach Thekadi for the next round of excitement. It will be a different kind of experience with traditional kerala Kathakali, Kalari, treking and treehouse stay. On Sunday, the team will have a visit to Spice garden where the world renowned Indian Spice are grown. Finally we come to the end of our eco‐tour with a sightseeing arranged at Surulli Falls. In Coimbatore
After 3 exciting days of adventure, we come to a halt in Coimbatore, the home town of “Saicons”. In coimbatore the stay for the Malaysian Rotaractors has been arranged at Parent Rotarian’s houses. 14th December 2009, Monday morning, the rotaractors will engage in a small educational tour in the Tamil Nadu Agriculture University, and if we have enough time, will visit Barathiyar University. The same day evening we will be having a joint meeting with our Parent Rotary (Rotary Club of Coimbatore West) followed by dinner. The next day, the team will involve in few of the community project by visiting Douglas home, Saranalaya and Jeeva Jyothi Trust in Thudiyalur. Where we will donate books, stationeries, groceries etc. Followed by dinner meet hosted by the Rotaract Cabinet members,presidents and members of District 3201. The final day, 16th December, Sendoff party on behalf of Rotaract Club of Saibaba colony.
