LEGAL IMPLICATIONS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN 21st CENTURY: CRITTICAL STUDY Mohd. Shahid Khan1 “By far the greatest danger of Artificial Intelligence is that people conclude too early that they understand it.” - Eliezer Yudkowsky.
Artificial intelligence which was considered to be a fiction earlier has now become more of a science than fiction. Artificial intelligence is basically intelligence demonstrated by the machine, which is analogous to the human intelligence2, therefore something which has so much in it is to be regulated. The overarching aim of this research paper is to study the different legal framework that exists in the 21st century regarding artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence is currently considered as the future by many countries. Enormous use of artificial intelligence in countries like the US, China, and India, can result in a boon in form of development and bane by affecting the legal policies in short and long term. This research paper also aims to give a comparative study as to how these countries are planning to shield their policies whether legal, political or social, with the help of an existing and upcoming legal framework. Towards the end of this research paper, it will give some suggestions as to what can be done, in order to restrict artificial intelligence to become the bane and to remain a boon.
