ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT I. Title of the Activity Gender and Development Seminar II. Objective/s a. Strengthening advocacy in the integration of Gender and Development in the classroom in Values Education and other subject areas.

b. Enhance knowledge of students as prime mover advocates in Gender and Development. c. Promote the pursuance of excellence, eliminate sex-role stereo typing and gender discriminatory role modelling for pupils/students especially in sports, arts and crafts and extra-curricular activities.

Highlight of the Activity (Agenda, Topics Discussed, Agreements and Instructions) Academic Senior High School conducted the 2018 Gender and Development Seminar on November 9, 2018 at ASHSCOM Activity Center. The one-day seminar comprised GAD activities spearheaded by the ASHSCOM teachers. It was participated by Senior High School Students and Parents. The participants offered an opening prayer led by Mr. Gumatay. Mrs. Galang delivered her inspirational message and started the first topic in Words to live by: How Children Understand Love. It is followed by the second speaker Mr. Gumatay talk over about Respect Begets Respect. A video was presented to the students entitled “Respect your Parents”, it is about how the son obeys their parents. The students shown how they were affected by the video presented. A short break was given to them then proceed to the third area focused on How Parents Understand Love presented by Mr. Fresnoza. He gave a psychological test to students and a love test that later on redirected to his topic. In his talk he gave emphasis to the unconditional love a parent can give to her son. The last discussant for the students’ seminar was Mrs. Peñaflorida, she highlighted Addressing Gender Sensitive Issues Understanding One’s Self. She asked the students make a slogan about gender sensitive issues. And the program was ended by an open forum facilitated by Mrs. Ronidel. The second session was for Parents’ GAD Seminar
