The role of federal agencies (EPA, Army Corps of Engineers, National Marine Fisheries Service, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service) in the states’ “assumed” permitting process Rules, policies and procedures for the review of the following: Letter of Interpretation (LOI) General Permits (GP) for disturbances to Wetlands and/or Transition Areas Individual Freshwater and State Open Water Permit (FWIP) Transition Area Waiver (TAW) An overview of the Land Use Application Procedures including completing forms (LURP2 etc), calculating fees, using the new checklists and the new requirements for freshwater wetland applications will be presented. Instructors will also provide participants with an opportunity to address specific questions or concerns they may have regarding the new rules.

NJDEP Site Remediation Basics May 19, 2009 This course is your single best opportunity to get all the information you need about NJDEP’s Site Remediation Program (SRP) — in just one day! You will get clear, complete answers to all your basic questions. NJDEP representatives will explain the regulations and guidance documents you will need when conducting site investigations and remediation activities. You will learn how to comply with the Industrial Site Recovery Act, the Underground Storage of Hazardous Substance Act and the Spill Compensation and Control Act, and associated Administrative Consent Orders and Voluntary Cleanups. Case studies will provide “real-world” examples of how to prepare and submit workplans and report packages.

This course satifies the requirement for the new NJDEP LSRP Program.
