Or what is a negative sentence? Any ideas? Negatives are basically saying what didn’t happen or what you didn’t like, these are a few examples. He doesn’t like maths He didn’t see the film. She no longer smoked She only eats fruit So, does anyone have any ideas how we’d say those in French? To start with how do we say they do like maths and they did see the film. Ask for ideas how to form the sentences in the positive sense and then display on presentation the answers Here are a few phrases we use in French to make a sentence negative. Never ne jamais Nothing, not anything ne rien Only ne que No longer, not anymore ne plus To make a sentence negative, that is to say what you don’t do or what isn’t’ happening, put ne… pas around the verb.
