Incorporated in 2005, Foundation for Recovery is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit public charity based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Foundation’s mission is to make recovery from addiction more available to affected individuals, their family, and friends. On a local and national scale, the Foundation works on advocacy, education, and parity initiatives in an effort to eliminate stigma and discrimination regarding addiction. The Foundation undertakes research initiatives, funds academic and treatment scholarships, and supports community-based recovery activities. In addition, the Foundation maintains meeting rooms for twelve-step programs, professional speaker series, workshops, and recovery-related special events. The Foundation works together with other nonprofits, civic, and volunteer groups to improve quality of life issues and develop needed public services. Additionally, the Foundation has been chosen to be the Nevada affiliate of The Partnership for a Drug-Free America ™ for being committed to improving prevention and recovery education.
