What? FOSS Camp GN-09 is Open Source’s first foray into Rajasthan and we are proud to be the torch-bearers. The FOSS Workshop is a new kind of technology 'unconference'- organized by us, for attendees. It's an open, welcoming, once-a-year event for geeks to hang out with wifi and smash their brains together. It's about love and geekery and having a focal point for great ideas. .We’ll be talking about various Open Source technologies that’ll kindle the geek within you. .Organize night-stays and hack-fests where students will be given a quick-fire sprint session with various technologies . Google Summer of Code meetup and talks : you’ll learn how Google Summer of Code experience can be a headstart into the Open Source movement.

hackfest invites

you to get dive deep into Web 2.0.

D r u p a l Hack.fest & G a m i n g S e s s i o n

You’ll learn how to set-up professional websites, web-services within minutes. In advance session we’ll delve deep into the plugin programming for Drupal. This is a hands-on session, everyone will be working with his/her laptop in the network we provide. If you don’t carry a laptop, please inform us in time so that arrangements can be made

In this midnight gaming fest, you’ll compete head-on with 50-60 students playing a Linux based

game. The top scorers will compete in the final round to take away the laurels.

For best hackfest experience you’re encouraged to carry your own Laptops. Though Internet connection and a PC will be provided for those who wish to depend on us :-)

Today Human Computer interaction has moved beyond traditional mouse and keyboard setup. In this midnight hands-on session, we’ll do our best to acquaint attendees with Multitouch hardware and software.

Sahana

Sahana is a Free and Open Source Disaster Management system. It is a web based collaboration tool that addresses the common coordination problems during a disaster from finding missing people, managing aid, managing volunteers, tracking camps effectively between Government groups, the civil society (NGOs) and the victims themselves. In this sprint session you’ll learn to install Sahana, communicate worldwide, and make nifty plugins
