APRIL 25, 2009 CAMERON RECOVERY RALLY 9AM – MIDNIGHT IN FRONT OF THE CAMERON PARISH COURTHOUSE RAIN OR SHINE CAMERON, LOUISIANA 512-646-0691 CAMERON, LA – SATURDAY, APRIL 25, 2009 – The Silver-Lining Foundation in partnership with Livin’ the Music will be hosting the Cameron Recovery Rally. While Cameron Parish is well-known in Louisiana, it is far from a household name nationwide. The Cameron Recovery Rally is a way to create this national awareness and bring the combined national sentiment of America to bear on those who oppose the complete recovery of Cameron, Louisiana. OTHER EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: Parade; Classic Car Exhibition; Petting Zoo, Clowns, Moon Walk; Food, Beverage and Beer Vendors; Hurricane Preparedness Education; Live Auction, RV Raffle, Door Prizes DISASTER RELIEF VIDEO – Dilana “Loud Silence” - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01C6WNBYduk Disaster relief music video featuring Dilana perfroming her original track "Loud Silence" from her upcoming album. Video showcases Cameron Parish, Louisiana hurricane disaster victims and the tragedy that they continue to endure. Call For Action: The Cameron Recovery Rally will provide the time and place to put the Parish’s plan of action before the nation to be heard by all. Call For Collaboration: The Cameron Recovery Rally is an opportunity to extend a collaborative hand to the State, FEMA and the federal government at large. It is a venue where these agencies will have the opportunity to publicly come forth with a definitive plan and timeline for achieving Cameron’s full recovery. To the extent that collaboration cannot be obtained, the event will serve as a sounding call for these agencies to step forward immediately with their full assistance. A Place To Come Together: The recent hurricanes have scattered the populous of Cameron across the state. The Cameron Recovery & Revival Rally is a place for the people of Cameron and others who support the Parish’s full recovery to come together and join hands in support of Cameron and its full recovery. Focal Point To Direct Collective Energy And Support: The people of Cameron desperately need a place to direct their energy and support for the Parish’s recovery. The very gathering of the people will create both force and momentum for Cameron’s cause that will last far beyond the Rally itself. A Place to Identify Resources Available To Disaster Victims: The Cameron Recovery Rally will be a place where local, state and federal agencies as well as churches and other not for profits and NGOs can display the services that they have available to disaster victims. It is a perfect opportunity to bring together those who have services to provide and those who are in dire need of assistance. A Place To Learn About Hurricane Disaster Preparedness: The Cameron Recovery Rally will be a place to learn about how to be best prepared in the event of another hurricane. Resources and information of all sorts will be available free of charge to everyone who attends. A Day to Have Fun: The Cameron Recovery Rally will not only be a day focused on recovery efforts, but will also be a day filled with fun activities for the entire family to enjoy, such as live music, cook-offs, children's activities, family activities and more… Immediate Temporary Disaster Housing Giveaway: The Silver Lining Foundation will raise funds to purchase and donate travel trailers to lower-Cameron disaster victims. The goal will be to give away at least five travel trailers…hopefully more. A Platform To Further The Economic Development Of Cameron: Compare Cameron, Louisiana to Chrysler and GM for a moment. There are very few private sector entities jumping to do deals with either of them right now. A ‘wait and see if they survive’ attitude is the pervasive sentiment. Cameron Parish faces a similar challenge. Those who may have looked to do business in the area are hesitant to act before they know that Cameron will be there in the long run. The

Cameron Recovery & Revival Rally is a perfect opportunity to introduce prospective businesses to the collective strength and fortitude of Cameron and its people. It is a perfect opportunity to cultivate partnerships that will produce jobs and revenue for the Parish. Fundraising: FEMA and the federal government have the authority to cut off funding for current and future disaster recovery projects. Already FEMA has chosen to provide no disaster housing in lower Cameron. Without a large pool of funds for self-sufficiency, Cameron is at the mercy of outside forces. The Cameron Recovery Rally will provide a platform to attract donations for immediate disaster housing and long-term self-sufficiency from across the country. It is well know that Cameron has some influential people and organizations in favor of Cameron’s full recovery. The Rally will allow public figures, movie stars, professional athletes and other deep-pocketed and not-so-deep-pocketed benefactors to step forward with both their hearts and their wallets. In addition to donations collected before and after the Rally, the Rally itself will be a venue for fundraising through sponsors and a voluntary admission price to the event of at $20 per person (for anyone who can't afford it, the option to pay less or nothing at all is available). It is The Silver Lining Foundation’s goal to partner with a local not-for-profit and direct donated funds for long term self-sufficiency to that partner. The Silver Lining Foundation feels that such donations should be in the hands of the people of Cameron to direct where they see fit. No one can do it better than the folks who are at ground zero, and The Silver Lining Foundation sees no benefit in having itself or any other outside entity directing the utilization of these funds. Donations collected via The Silver Lining Foundation for The Cameron Recovery & Revival Rally will be categorized into two areas: 1) Self-sufficiency fund for Cameron Parish (to be directed in full to local not for profit partner to be utilized as it sees fit). 2) Funding for the purchase and placement of disaster housing in lower Cameron and for the advancement of permanent change in the way disaster preparedness and implementation is handled nationwide (to be utilized by The Silver Lining Foundation to further these objectives). ARTIST INFORMATION: Jared Johnson Jared was born in Louisiana in 1975. He won't pass up boiled crawfish, blue crabs or seafood gumbo. He loves short walks on the beach in between long lounge sessions on beach furniture. He's spiritual, but not religious. He subscribes to Playboy magazine for the intellectually stimulating articles, and loves to ride his motorcycle while singing at the top of his lungs in thanks to God for being born Cajun.

Drawing from Hank to Hendrix, Cab Calloway to Bruce Springsteen, Wreckless Eric to Stevie Nicks, while also offering his own take with his original tunes, Paul is an act you want to see. The Von Dukes - www.myspace.com/thevondukes Wade Reeves and Lucas Vellion Star and Micey - www.starandmicey.com Star & Micey is a Memphis based soulful folk pop band that recently signed with Ardent Music, the newly reactivated label that launched power-pop pioneers Big Star. Currently the band is finishing up their debut album at the legendary Ardent Studios, which will be released in June 2009. The band consists of three core members - singer/songwriter/ guitarist Josh Cosby, bassist Geoff Smith and lead guitarist Nick Redmond. The full length debut features Doug Walker (Chess Club) on keys, along with many of Memphis' greatest talents such as; Luther Dickinson (The Black Crowes/ North Mississippi Allstars) on guitar, Rick Steff (Cat Power/ Lucero) on organ and Jody Stephens (Big Star) on drums. Along with Dave Cousar (Archer Records recording artist) on guitars and Paul Taylor (Amy Lavere) behind the kit rounding out the last few songs, the record is sure to appeal to a vast cast of characters. Music is love and Star & Micey is destined to spread it... one show at a time. Chris Shearman Trio - www.myspace.com/chrisshearmanmusic Chris Shearman grew up in Southern Louisiana and has been playing live music for almost 20 years. His style is a return to grassroots acoustic songs depicting the scenes and colors of nature, love, and loss while bringing awareness to the beauty of simplicity in songwriting.

Blues Tonic - www.myspace.com/bluestonic It all started one night in January 2008 at the Wood-N-Penny in Lake Charles where "Fast Freddy" Wherland (bass guitar/vocals), Chris Pumpelly (drums/vocals), Warner Wortherington (keyboard/vocals) and Travis Swire from Grand Chenier (lead guitar/vocals) were reuniting from a previous project. Duston "CajunSax" Erwin from Lake Charles (by way of Baton Rouge, Houston, Shreveport, and Southern California) & Jason Radford from the East Coast Carolinas (lead vocals/guitar) showed up and we all decided to do it again. From there we’ve been performing at various venues across Southwest Louisiana. We strive to incorporate a variety of musical styles into our shows with the Blues, Classic Rock, Country, & MoTown always present. This is a little concoction of music we like to call "Blues Tonic" ...Great with Gin!!!

Rex Moroux - www.rexmoroux.com If a song can make you cry – or laugh – that’s a measure of how it touches your soul. There’s no question that Moroux’s songs have the ability to do both. When you’re from a place where the music is literally written on the wind, you can’t help but let it blow through you – and for Rex Moroux, that beats out AC any day. The 28-year-old, Lafayette native has been able to devote himself to developing his art – and his second album, “Royal Street Inn,” named for a New Orleans hostel, is filled with the winning results.

Jaryd Lane - www.jarydlane.com When asked, Jaryd Lane will tell you - without hesitation - what he enjoys most about music, "It's all about the songs for me. Great songs with great stories." All of the tracks, penned in Nashville for his new CD "RIDING FOR THE BRAND", prove that. This Louisiana native has been inspired by artists ranging from James Taylor to Merle Haggard. Whether he's playing solo or with a full band behind him, Jaryd's raw and soulful voice is winning audiences all over the southwest. In a style that varies from Skynyrd grit to acoustic country and blues, Jaryd touches hard working fun loving people with songs about love, sin, God, and family - with lyrics that speak to everyday people about everyday life. The opportunity to open for national acts such as David Allan Coe, Mark Chestnut, Billy Currington, Chris Cagle, Edwin McCain, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Sammy Kershaw, Tracy Lawrence and John Conlee has helped this southerner turn more than a few heads and is sure to keep 'em turnin'. Sons of William - www.myspace.com/sonsofwilliam Two brothers who are looking for a band name choose the name Sons of William in honor of their father, Bill, who has been the main musical influence in their lives. It's perfect. But it doesn't just stop at the name. The songs are tight, the music is beautiful, and the performance is flawless. Whether they take after their old man or not, these kids have their jobs down to a science. The band proudly wears its influences on their sleeves, as aspects of blues and classic rock shine through the music. At the same time, a modern feel gives Sons of William the appeal they need to rise above their influences (sorry, Dad) and form their own unique voice.
