The Albany Damien Center encourages you to donate all proceeds from the sale of your donation(s) but understands that there may be circumstances in which the artist may need to recoup the cost of materials used in the creation of your work. Please note the dollar amount you are requesting. If you would like the artwork you are donating to be considered for the cover of the Art for AIDS Sake invitation, posters, and postcards, please send a digital image to
[email protected] by August 20, 2009. The artist chosen will have their name recognized on all of the Art for AIDS Sake print work. We request that unsold artwork be picked up by November 25, 2009. Artwork left after this date will become the property of The Albany Damien Center

Programs of the Albany Damien Center AIDS Community Center – a comfortable and supportive living room setting designed to increase quality of life and health with support groups, counseling, topic groups, resource library, HIV testing, recreational/social activities, Massage, Reiki, and so much more. Smart Meals – nutritious, wellbalanced meals served in a social atmosphere, pantry bags, and food vouchers with nutrition education aimed at the specific needs of individuals and families living with HIV/ AIDS.
Art Exhibit & Silent Auction Saturday, November 7, 2009
PAWS (Pets are Wonderful Support) – ensures that people living with HIV/AIDS are not separated from their pets, often when they need each other the most.

Treasure Chest – a volunteer organized thrift store, located at 295 Hamilton Street, Albany, NY, Clothing, furniture, and household item assistance for members in need and income for The Albany Damien Center programs.

Over 200 original works of art (paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, & more…) available to bid on from over 150 artists 300+ guests who will view and bid on artwork in the spacious 4th floor NYS Museum atmosphere Complimentary champagne and dessert reception The contemporary soul music of local legend Joye Belle and her band A raffle featuring fabulous items from area businesses A program guide with information on participating artists & event sponsors An opportunity for you to help people living with HIV/AIDS in our community
