Food security: constitution of Pakistan • Article 38 (d) ensures provision of basic necessities of life including food “The State shall provide basic necessities of life, such as food, clothing, housing, education and medical relief, for all citizens, irrespective of sex, caste, creed or race, as permanently or temporarily unable to earn their livelihood on account of infirmity , sickness or unemployment”

Minister of NFSR Sikandar Hayat said that food security can be achieved by Increased food production Use of resources for optimum production Efficient irrigation Low input prices He also said that we are producing 7million of rice out of which 3 million is exprted We are also exporting potatoes and onions

Conclusion • The government of pakistan must deal with this issue on war footing ,unless this basic need food is left unmet , the people cannot divert their energies and loyalities towards the country. people are uncertain of how and where their next meal come .Its time that government of pakistan should take step to improve food security because it is not a war against nations , ideologies but it’s a war against poverty and hunger which bring happiness among poor people of the country.
