FAMILY NURSING CARE PLAN Health Problem

1. Poor Home/Environment Sanitation— Unsanitary Waste Disposal as a health threat to the whole family

Family Nursing Problems

Goal of Care

Inability to provide a home environment which is conducive to health maintenance and development due to inaccessibility of appropriate resources for care, specifically physical inaccessibility and cost constraints.

After 1 week nursing intervention, the family will be able to know on how to prevent diseases due to unclean environment and know the importance proper waste disposal.

Objectives of Care

After using the nursing intervention the family will now: -Know on how to maintain clean environment. -Be able to understand if what will be the problem that might occur due to improper disposal of waste

Intervention Plan Nursing Interventions Method of Nursing Family Contact 1. Establish -Home Visit rapport 2. Explain the diseases that might occur to the family due to improper waste disposal. 3. Demonstrate to the family the proper ways of excreta disposal. 4. Discuss to the family the advantage in having a clean environment.

Within 1 week of nursing interventions, the family will be able to determine the importance of practicing proper methods on garbage disposal.

After 45 minutes, the family will be able to: 1. Identify the different ways on proper disposal of garbage such as: a. use of compost pit with cover; b. segr egate the nonbiodegradable and biodegradable materials; c. recy cling of canbe-used garbage; d. reusi ng or selling of some garbage like cans, bottles and plastics. 2. enumerate the proper techniques on
