uxury presents itself in different forms to different people. To some it’s the things money can buy and to others, it’s the immeasurable. And, my evening spent at The C. Club was nothing short of a rare luxury. The C. Club sits on the 6th floor of Pavilion and would beckon endless passer-by stares. An exquisite union of dining and luxury boutique, The C. Club is the first of its kind in the country. There was an aura of extravagant once we stepped into The C. Club. While seated next to the glass window overlooking the grand entrance of Pavilion, there were details at every corner to marvel at. From the lights infused together to look like a giant circular curtain placed in between pillars, elegant black-and-white portraits on the wall to the exquisite jewellery on display in the dining arena. Club also serves the finest cigar, wine, champagne and liquor. The starters rolled out in its finest presentation. One of C. Club’s signature dishes is the scallop foie gras (RM46), tantalising panseared scallop sandwiched with foie gras on top of pickled pumpkin and onion marmalade. Culinary adventurers must take a peek into their special menu, available upon request. An item out of it is the My Version Escargot (RM68), escargots baked in apple sauternes wine and foie gras roast garlic butter. A delectable dish not to be missed, it was almost heavenly. We had the grilled aged tenderloin on wakame and hijiki with wasabi and sea urchin (RM78) for our main course. Topped with broccoli and tempura shimeji mushroom, it was a delightful discovery infused with Japanese influence. After the last dish, we indulged ourselves in one final luxury – the C. Club Super-
