Choose the correct FEED TUBE (same color as VENTURI). Do not install at this time.

Place INNERDUCT in the INNERDUCT SEAL and INNERDUCT CLAMP. Note placement up to ridge on INNERDUCT SEAL. (610) 831-5020

Choose the correct VENTURI and install both halves.

Clamp INNERDUCT in place.

Place SEAL DISK in slot on venturi.

Install AIR BLOCK COVER.

Plug receiving end of innerduct with a properly sized INNERDUCT PULLING EYE.

• Close air control valve. • Duct must not lose more than 20 psi (1.4 bar) over a 2-minute period. • After 2 minutes, relieve air pressure by pulling open air pressure relief valve or by slowly loosening the 4 bolts on the air block cover.

Slowly open AIR CONTROL VALVE. Pressurize innerduct to 100-120 psi (6.9-8.3 bar).

PREPARE INNERDUCT FOR CABLE

Remove INNERDUCT PULLING EYE and PULLING GRIP from receiving end of innerduct.

Add lubricant to INNERDUCT before FOAM CARRIER: 1/2 quart/6000ft (.5 liter/2km).

Push CABLE ASSEMBLY, including entire CABLE GRIP, into INNERDUCT.

Place CABLE SEALS into VENTURI.

Add lubricant to INNERDUCT behind CARRIER AND GRIP ASSEMBLY: 3/4 qt/6000ft (.75 liter/2km).

Choose the correct CABLE SEALS and install on cable. Grooved side of CABLE SEAL faces innerduct.

OPERATION

Turn on the ELECTRONICS.

Slowly engage the TRACTOR FEED. Push cable 50 to 100 feet (15 to 30 m) into INNERDUCT.

• When carrier exits at the receiving end, immediately shut off hydraulics and then the air.

Install CABLE into INNERDUCT.

While the tractor drive is still engaged, slowly open the AIR CONTROL VALVE.

• Continue blowing cable into innerduct at a controllable speed.

The Condux Fiber Optic Cable Blower operates efficiently with most common combinations of cable and innerduct sizes. The correct size cable seals, feed tube and venturi must be determined for the cable being installed. Also necessary are the correct size innerduct seals, clamps, and carrier for the innerduct being occupied.
