Femicide Femicide has been used to describe killing of women by intimate partner and family members. The term femicide was introduce in the last century to descrive killing of women`s that were gender relate in order to recognize the impact of inequality and discrimination identified international as a root cause of violence against women. In the Ecuador provinces, the highest porcentage of femicide are present in: Morona Santiago, Tungurahua, Picincha, Pastaza and Azuay. So, in the last year in Ecuador stadistics increased, but the big question is: What happens with society? What’s kind of types violence exist?.

Femicide is in many cases related to husband or boyfriend is known as intimate femicide or intimate partner homicide, in other cases is committed by someone without an intimate relationship with the victim, known as non-intimate, and femicide involving sexual aggression is sometimes referred to as sexual femicide. Not only is intimate partner femecide the most extreme consequences of intimate parther violence it also has a strong and prolonged impact on women is surroundings. A recent study further highlighted that the partner is seldom the sole victim in cases of intimate partner femicide. Other who might also be killed include the couple is children; unrelated bystanders; people perceived as the victim is allies by the perpetrator, such as lawyers, relatives, neighbours or friends; and the victim is new partner. It`s important to acknowledge that nobody in the world is safe but is even more dificult for women to be oursafe and to be free, we have the same freedom that everyone has and to enjoy the things in the same way that everybody does. We don`t need someone to protect us because we should be protecting ourself, man and women should fight together to stop this horrible time of femicide.
