in each procedure that can conceivably produce a run-time error, you should include an error-handling routine. most run-time errors can be trapped. if you do not include an error-handler, any run-time error is fatal. visual basic will issue an error message and terminate the program! some examples of run-time errors are: not having a disk in a drive when the program tries to read a disk is full out of memory division by zero subscript out of range to write an error-handler, use the on error statement. it can either take the form:
