Creating visual and tactile Textures

Many textures are created in a manner that is reasonably consistent with the texture name given.

An attempt has been made to create texture in a manner that is consistent with the texture name given

No attempt has been made to create a texture with the texture name given.

Media/tool choice Student, through or experimentated, chose media and tools that best creates a certain texture.

Student chose media that create a certain texture but could have experimented more to make the texture better.

Student made textures but put little thought and experimentation into which media and tools would best make that texture.

Student has not made much of an attempt at choosing good media and tools to create certain textures.

Creativity

Student has taken the technique being studied and has used source material as a starting place. The student's personality comes through in parts of the work.

There is little evidence of creativity, but the student has done the assignment.

Student has not made much attempt to meet the requirements of the assignment.

Most of the textures are created in a manner very consistent with the texture name given.

Student has taken the technique being studied and applied it in a way that is totally his/her own. The student's personality/voice comes through.
