Network A network is a set of devices connected by the transmission media. The devices can be computers, printers o any other devices capable of sending and receiving data on the network. Computer network is classified into the following categories: – Local Area Network (LAN) – Metropolitan Area Network (MAN) – Wide Area Network (WAN)



The network model can be classified in the following two categories: – Client-Server Network – Peer-to-Peer Network
