Student teaching in several classes around the school. In this placement, I received mentoring from 2 teachers, as it is a bilingual school. In the mornings I taught the Billigual grade 6 class Social Studies, and then both English and Mandarin grade 6 classes (36 students) for science. In the afternoons, I taught the grade ¾ class Math, Art, and Phys.Ed. During this time, I was able to grow as a teacher, and got a chance to teach every kind of student at a range of ages.

Montess Elementary School-Grade 4 (Edmonton, AB)- 2008 Student Teaching in a class of thirty students, developing and executing creative lessons, and learning how to properly manage the classroom environment. During this time I prepared and taught the students a science unit on plants, and an art unit on sketching still life. Professional Language Institute (Queretaro, Que. Mexico)- 20062007 Taught English and French to adults and children, (levels ranging from beginner to advanced) in classrooms and businesses. By maximizing student talk time, and creating authentic lessons, I aided students to achieving their goals, and receiving their English Language Certification.
