One of the biggest changes in the business has been our move to Accrington, which was finally completed earlier last month. Of course with a move of this scale, there were some unforeseeable problems that arose and a massive thank you to everyone for all your support and patience whilst we resolved these go-live issues. The business now is in an excellent position for the fantastic retail period that will kick off in September. The new catalogues have been a tremendous success and we’re sure that this will be just the start of incredible growth within the business. We had the return of the Summer Sales Conference in June and it was a fantastic event. Our front cover story is on Kriss Akabusi – a man with an amazingly inspiring story who wowed the conference with his FIT for Success model. If you missed it, you missed out, but please join us at our Christmas conference in September for what promises to be a more rewarding event (details on page 10). It’s also been a successful couple of months for Kleeneze in the media. Over £1 million will be invested this year on marketing and advertising Kleeneze and, as you can see on page 5, we’re already making a splash in the press. This is an incredibly exciting time for Cabouchon retail as the launch of the Party Plan kits hit the Network. On page 16 we guide you through all the hows, whys and wherefores of party planning – invaluable advice you must not miss out on! It’s a great way of recruiting before we go into September, as these Party Plans are timeless. There are interviews with top Network Stars, Senior Gold Executives, Mike and Susan Pirie and some words from Michael Khatkar who is heading up our new Network Development team. Finally, we’ve included highlights from the fantastic conference in Cannes, as well as some tips to keep you inspired to reach your goals and join us in Marrakech and Phuket. Thanks again for your support and patience and I hope to see you all at the Christmas Conference on 1 September!

A MOVING EXPERIENCE This summer saw one of the biggest Kleeneze operations in its 83-year history – the move to Accrington and a dawn of a whole new era for the business. Over the past couple of months, Kleeneze has put a concentrated effort into getting the service right for you and the move was pivotal in reaching this goal. “Back in January, I stated quite clearly that Findel is committed to Kleeneze and our plan for the business is to invest for growth,” stated Patrick Jolly, CEO of Kleeneze at June’s Summer Sales Conference. “That remains the case today. Every day we understand more about the Kleeneze business and our understanding reinforces our commitment to it. This is a truly exciting business with huge potential. “You said that service needed to be improved. We listened and we have acted. We are moving the entire corporate business from Bristol to our state of the art facilities in Accrington. We have also significantly increased the investment in stock within the business. These initiatives will

MUTUAL SUPPORT If you’ve been with Kleeneze for any amount of time, you’ve probably already come across Michael Khatkar and his team. Previously known as the Sales Team, it has now been relaunched as the Network Development Team - created purely to support you. This team provides the vital link between distributors and corporate Kleeneze and as a result is essential to advancing the business. So, what is it that they do? Well, firstly, they are there to provide you with all the help, support and encouragement you need to build your business. However, they also (as the new name suggests) are fundamental in developing the business by keeping the lines of communication open between the corporate side of the business and distributors. They work very closely with Network leaders and by attending your business opportunity and training meetings, they can feed back all the company news and at the same time bring your ideas, views and queries back to Head Office.

improve service and will establish a firm foundation for all of us to achieve our growth plans.” The move to Accrington means that Kleeneze is based in the same location as Findel’s other mail order and home shopping divisions – therefore some of the best, most experienced people in home shopping are working on the Kleeneze catalogues and distribution chain. And this is just the start of Kleeneze’s five-year growth plan. With your help, it will just keep on getting better and better! This communication link with you means that the team can provide a significant insight into designing incentives, conferences and offers available to the Network, as well as being a key part of operational troubleshooting. “Our monumental move is just the beginning. This is the first step of our fantastic future. Thank you to each and every one of you for your patience and ongoing support. Let’s work together and build the business of our dreams.” Michael Khatkar, Head of Network Development

HAVE WE GOT NEWS FOR YOU! It’s been a busy couple of months for Kleeneze in the media. To raise awareness of Kleeneze and our products, we’ve upped our PR campaign and hit everything from television and radio spots to the national press and weekly magazines. Here’s a taste of some of Kleeneze’s starring roles.

How Clean Is Your House? Our Kleeneze How Clean Is Your House? campaign was a first for such huge exposure of the brand. Watched by approximately 1.5 million people in the UK, sponsoring the series was a brilliant way of reaching potential customers, as well as raising awareness of Kleeneze and our products. The sponsorship, which ran for twelve weeks, consisted of mini ads placed during the start, break and end of the show, featuring a family who use our brilliant products in everyday situations. The sponsorship also led to a national radio feature. Jean Day, Gold SED, represented Kleeneze by taking part in a feature on old wives tales versus modern-day cleaning tips. The feature was featured on various BBC radio and local radio stations throughout the country on Thursday 24 May. Take a Break Summer Special and Real People Take a Break and Real People are both popular weekly

consumer magazines which target Kleeneze’s core audience. Our competition pages brought the Kleeneze name to over one million readers this summer and featured in Take a Break’s Summer Special, which stayed on the shelves for six weeks. Real People magazine took our name to millions of Internet users by featuring our competition on their website throughout the month of June.

The Daily Mirror Kleeneze hit the national press on 16 June, starring in a gardening feature for the Saturday Mirror. The top national newspaper, which has one of the biggest readerships in Britain, featured the Rooster Weather Vane and Garden Ladybird Set. Pick Me Up Kleeneze are creating more opportunities for consumers to see their range of catalogues and products with the aim of helping distributors to increase their customer base and sponsorship opportunities. To that effect, the November 30 issue of Pick Me Up magazine featured a Kleeneze competition.

Making money feature Making Money Magazine is one of the most revered financial magazines available today in the UK and the August edition included a two-page feature on Kleeneze.

Grumpy Old Women On Friday 3 August, Kleeneze made a rather surprising guest appearance in the BBC2 programme, Grumpy Old Women. Pretty much doing what the show’s title implies, the grouchy female celebrities usually gripe and moan their way through a variety of subjects – from PIN numbers and mobiles to pets and litter. It was going to take something pretty exceptional to make them smile. And that pretty exceptional something was the Kleeneze catalogue, of course!

SUMMER BLOCKBUSTER FOR KLEENEZE

Over 5000 distributors cheered, whooped and applauded their way through Saturday 23 July, when they came together for the return of the Summer Sales Conference. And, after two years of absence, it returned with quite a bang. The conference opened with a spectacular silk artistry show. Distributors of the Year, Claire and Peter Rea then took to the stage to light our Olympic-style torch, because this was the focus of the conference – the next five years. Only five years until Britain hosts the Olympics and within those five years, it is our mission to make the vision of the new Kleeneze a reality. Patrick Jolly gave all the company news, from the introduction of our new Super 200+ kit, to the reduction in cost of joining the business, before introducing the new Managing Director of Kleeneze – Mr Jamie Stewart. The MD went on to tell you our five year goals and how we have started to go about them, with the move to our fully automated warehouse facility to our improved new-look catalogues. And then we asked you to text in your five year goals. Our speakers were also fired up and looking toward the next five years. Peter Rea, Neil Young, and Jackie White took to the stage and spoke of future goals and how to reach them. And Steve Roper, Jean Day, Jay Singh, Amanda Bibby and Jamie de Caso took to the stage in the afternoon for a rather boisterous

Kleeneze game show, which produced a lot of great tips as well as a lot of laughs. And then there was Kriss Akabusi – so fantastic, we’ve dedicated a whole page to him in this magazine. After such an exciting Conference, hearing the vision of the New Kleeneze, the passion, determination and vision of Kriss Akabusi, receiving your five year goals and generally having a brilliant time, we’re just counting down the days until the next one.

AS KRISS AKABUSI SEES FIT

Olympic athlete turned speaker Kriss Akabusi was universally acknowledged to be the highlight of the Summer Sales Conference. We didn’t have to ask every individual audience member. The standing ovation and accompanying ear-splitting cheer that shook the NIA said it all. “Just to warn you,” Kriss introduced himself. “I tend to shout, I speak fast and I spit!” Kriss had us in stitches right from the start, but it was his enthusiasm that shone through more than just his humour. This was the enthusiasm you would expect from the world-class runner who helped Britain win the Gold in the 1991 World Championship relay in Tokyo. The dynamic and effervescent personality of Britain’s best loved Olympian was near overwhelming

It will give you something to centre your passion, pride and 'can do' attitude on.” I. INNOVATION As many of us know, some days you really need to give yourself that added motivation to get up and go. Kriss, with his boundless enthusiasm, recognised this, but says it’s important to see that it’s not how many times you fall over that’s important – it’s how many times you pick yourself back up again. T. TEAMWORK Kriss’s speech always came back to teamwork. Using his real-life experiences in the sports arena, he showed that teamwork can really increase your success and increase your motivation.

The Gold medallist spoke of ‘your arena’ – where you are responsible for your vision, change, teamwork and individual performance. Drawing on his own successful military and athletics career, he showed us how being ‘FIT’ (Focus, Innovation and Teamwork) is the key route to success in this business.

How to perform in your own personal arena Kriss showed us how to be the best by looking at three things: passion, pride and a can-do attitude. Full of examples of success stories and opportunities to inspire you to explore your own strengths, Kriss Akabusi’s book Success Comes in Cans is a must-read for anyone intent on business success.

A WINNING GOAL WITH KLEENEZE This business is so exciting because you just never know who is going to join your business next. Two of our customers recently joined our team – John and Cynthia Gilroy. John had been made redundant, so needed to replace a full-time wage. They have taken to this business like the proverbial duck to water - they are following the system to the letter, are always on the phone, are really resilient when any problems arise, and are just a delight to work with.

John Gilroy is well used to goals, as he was in the same squad as Terry Venables, Jimmy Greaves and Pat Jennings when he was a professional football player for Tottenham Hotspur. He says, “It’s all about the goal. If you don’t score it – you’re not the winner.”

They set a goal to earn £800 in their first full Period and came in at £870. John was then offered a full-time job, working shifts in a factory. You might think their story ends there, but in fact, it is just beginning. John and Cynthia both realize how much time people normally waste in a day, and have decided that they will utilize every spare minute they have for the next three years until they retire, to be doing one of two things. Either earning money from retail or speaking to people and building a team. They are on target to earnings of £1000+, whilst working in their spare time. They have also already sponsored three people into their team. They have set their goal, and are putting in the action.

John and Cynthia are getting married this year, and taking a two week holiday in the States, and the best thing is – their Kleeneze business is paying for all of it!

GOING FOR GOLD

retail hard for the first six months to build a solid customer base and build a regular income that I could live on. And that is exactly what happened. After six months I had 1200 customers and had made £8500.

I started my Kleeneze business in June 2006. Previously to this I had spent fifteen years running a successful chain of family owned retail outlets in and around the North West. However sales took a downturn and forced the family business to close. I then proceeded to set up an Internet-based office supplies business with a national company. This investment cost me £30,000. By May 2006 after having spent one year working hard to make my new business work, I found myself having made no money with the business and my private funds were rapidly beginning to run dry. So I set out to investigate my options and this is when I discovered Kleeneze. I realized that Kleeneze was the only business opportunity I could find, that could give me an instant profit return, and quickly – money I desperately needed! In fact, in my very first month I earned over £1100 for retailing around 5 hours per day, 7 days a week. Unbelievable for the first month of trading by any standards! I then settled into a game plan for my Kleeneze business. I work the business on my own and decided that I would

Absolute proof that a full time income can be made with Kleeneze from day one. By Christmas 2006 I was ready for a break so I went away on a family skiing holiday and came home ready to go Gold ASAP. I did that in twelve weeks. The next part of my plan now is to steadily build a team of people and progress up the pay plan as fast as possible. The main point I would like to make from my story is that the last two years have been a bit of a rollercoaster of a ride for me financially. In my first year I spent £30,000 on a business that paid me nothing and in my second year I paid £165 for my Kleeneze business and made over £16,000. I am now on track to build myself a sizeable Kleeneze business, by sharing this fantastic opportunity with others that will, in return, allow my ambition of earning £10,000 per month to be achieved by 2011. Mark James, Gold Distributor.

INTERNATIONALLY RENOWNED Outside of the UK, Kleeneze continues to flourish. With distributors from Ireland to Holland, we’re making an international splash. Here are some of the stories:

KLEENEZE HAS GIVEN US A FUTURE TO LOOK FORWARD TO! Jimmy and I started our Kleeneze business in January 2006, it was one of our New Year resolutions to D N get out of debt. We have two A IREL young children, Sean and Rachel, so the possibility of me [Martina] going back to a normal job wasn’t really an option at the time. We did look at the Kleeneze Opportunity a couple of years ago and completely disregarded it - can you believe it - how stupid were we?! We thought that if we could earn €50 - €100 a week that would be a fantastic help. In our first month we hit our 10% bonus and cleared €397.57 - subtracting our initial investment we had made a profit already! Wow, we were amazed. We knew it worked! The plan was for me to work the business until Rachel started school and then I could return to parttime employment. However, after a couple of months, our focus shifted completely. We both realised the potential of this business and, with the help of our fantastic Uplines Marcell Treanor and Joanne Spraggon, we started to build our business to a level at which we would be earning enough each month to replace my part-time income. This was our first major goal. We started building our team by doing activity and using all the rods in the pond – and it worked. The more activity we did, the more leads we got, the more appointments, the more new team members. We hit our goal by Period 7. We both knew there was

I’M LOVIN’ IT! Part of our Dutch distributor Network, Annette Massink has rheumatism – but she D chronic N A L refuses to let this debilitating L HO condition stop her from becoming one of our International success stories! “My name is Annette Massink and I started with Kleeneze in February 2006. After only six weeks, I had hit 13% with my team. And by Period 5, my personal sales was about 1300 points! A few weeks ago I went with my sponsors to the Summer Sales Conference in Birmingham, England.

no going back now and the only way was up. Our next goal was to hit Gold by Christmas. That didn’t happen. Things took a bit of a nosedive when my beloved Dad passed away in August and things pretty much came to a halt. However, two weeks later we attended our first ever conference in the NIA and we are so glad that we decided to make that trip. We left there feeling so focused and charged up and now had another goal we wanted to go to Cannes. We knew what we had to do, just lots more of it! We turned Gold in Period 2 and have held this position since so of course, we did qualify! And what a trip! What an atmosphere, we felt like royalty! Never in our wildest dreams did we ever imagine that we would be living our lives like this. We were in Cannes and it was all thanks to Kleeneze! We now have many, many goals; we have a fantastic team, with wonderful people working with us, so we know that our business cannot fail. We now have a future that we are looking forward to and that’s all thanks to Kleeneze. Martina & James McGrath Gold Distributors What an amazing weekend! To be there with more than 5000 other distributors and like-minded people was incredibly motivational. We’ve already ordered our tickets to the Christmas Conference in September and I’m hoping to see many more Dutch distributors filling the NIA! My life has totally changed thanks to Kleeneze. When anybody asks me, ‘why Kleeneze?’, I simply reply, ‘I’m loving it!’” Annette Massink Silver Distributor

WHERE THE SUN DOES SHINE By now you are probably well on your way to qualifying for Marrakech, so keep up the good work! Our traditionally terrible British summer should be enough incentive for you to get to your goals, but if not here are some more. CASBAHS VS COCKTAILS If haggling in the souk has become too much, Marrakech has a flourishing modern boutique scene. Snake charmers, acrobats, musicians and storytellers fill the streets at night, creating a sort of medieval carnival. However, couscous and casbahs have made way for Western style spas, cocktail lounges and even nightclubs. There’s really something for everyone.

Uber trendy French magazine Le Point declared that Marrakech has become another SaintTropez, a magnet for the rich, famous and those who demand luxury. Nowhere is this more apparent than Le Meridien, the five-star hotel where you will be staying. Looking out over the breathtaking snow-capped Atlas Mountains, Le Meridien houses 227 impeccably furnished rooms featuring all the mod cons you would ever need. With a heated pool, state-of-the-art gym, tennis courts and spa you’ll never want to come back!

IN THE SPOTL They run an incredibly successful business in Scotland, were awarded a BMW 3 Series in 2006 and are famed for their diverse training sessions. Gold SEDs Mike and Susan Pirie are here to answer all your questions. What were your reasons for joining the Opportunity? I joined Kleeneze in 1993 to make a £100 alongside my full-time job. In my first month I earned over £350 from retailing in my local area. However, my first week was a disaster! I dropped 400 catalogues and picked up a total of £50 making me a total income of £10! I have to confess to quitting that day. Thankfully I restarted the next day, as I realised that it works for plenty others and would work for me as well if I gave it time. I met Susan through Kleeneze, as her mum and dad (John and Margery Sharp) were the people who introduced me to John and Hazel Stephen - my sponsors. We started dating and were married in 1999. We have always worked the business together, doing everything from retailing, one-on-one presentations and training sessions - until the kids came along. We now work our business around our two girls Lauren (6) and Rachel (5). This year’s Summer Sales Conference was all about the next five years. What are your five-year goals? We are really excited about the future. Susan and I are putting in place our five-year goals, which include achieving another car as I really fancy a Jaguar S type. What has been your greatest achievement to date? My greatest achievement in Kleeneze was meeting and marrying Susan, of course! But in a business sense, our greatest achievement was last year when we reached Gold SED, qualifying us for a new BMW, the conference in Mauritius, and a cash bonus of £4,500 - over and above our monthly income of £6,500.

How has your business spread? The Dream Team has really grown over the last few years and now spreads through Scotland, England and Ireland. The team includes the winners of two BMWs (Stanley Stewart in Northern Ireland and ourselves) and the VIP trophy going to Ian and Margaret Foster for being the number one retailers in Kleeneze.

LIGHT...MIKE & SUSAN PIRIE You’ve seen many changes since you joined in 1994. What’s the best thing about today’s Kleeneze? Over the years, we have seen loads of changes in Kleeneze; for example, our products used to take anything up to a week to arrive and, when they did, out-of-stocks used to run as high as 16%! The other major change over the years has been the Internet which saves hours of form-filling and is so much easier to use and understand. Payments can be made faster too, meaning credit cards etc. can be charged same day, making long-distance sponsoring easier. What’s your best tip for team building? What advice would you pass on to fellow distributors who are looking to expand their network? One of the best tips Susan and I would share is to make sure you have K.P.I.s in place (Key Progress Indicators). For example, if your goal is to generate 30 leads per week make sure that you have an piece of paper with 30 spaces on it for the 30 names and by Saturday lunchtime it should be full indicating that your activity is working well. Another example of a K.P.I. is a recruitment box. In the box, place the amount of flyers, shop cards, business cards etc that you are going to distribute each week. Again, by Saturday lunchtime that box should be empty indicating that you have met with your activity targets. However, like all great ideas these things are easier not to do than to do, therefore it takes discipline.

Our kids enjoy our success in Kleeneze because their mum and dad are always around. That's the best reward Kleeneze gives us - quality time. Success in any walk of life is not just about earning big money (although it helps) but being successful in four major areas; family, faith, health and business. Susan and I have always worked to that philosophy and when all four areas are good, life is magnificent. However, when one or two areas are absent it can seem that something important is missing, so we always try to maintain the balance between hard work and quality time. It is important to enjoy the journey and not focus too much on the destination because, when you reach your goal, you set more and the journey begins again. Do you still work with your Upline? Absolutely. We have great sponsors in John (whom I knew from our days as fishermen) and Hazel. John has fantastic work habits and enthusiasm and I talk to him at least once a day just to get motivated. Often we call each other just to share a funny story about something that has just happened. Your (successful) Upline always has your best interests at heart and the relationship can be that of a brother/sister one moment you are best friends, and the next arguing a point. And that's healthy. As long as the common interest is there (your success) then you will always grow.

How do you motivate other members of your team? We motivate our team by understanding their goals and dreams and therefore are focused on helping them achieve their goals. Also, recognising all areas in our business from consistent retailing to fantastic team-building, shows that we appreciate all members of the Dream Team. What was the turning point in your Kleeneze life that turned you from an everyday Distributor into a Superstar Gold SED? Timing is everything in business. One day you are content with where you are and what you have; then circumstances change (in our case the kids started school) and you find yourself making a conscious decision to climb the plan. And that's what we did. We decided to move the business and took the correct action along with those in the team that wanted to move forward. It is important to make sure your team’s goals are in line with yours. You did a fantastic NIA training a while ago, focussing on family. How are your kids now benefiting from Kleeneze?

How did you feel when you won the BMW from Kleeneze? Winning the BMW was just a fantastic feeling; words cannot describe it. It was a fantastic effort by all in the Dream Team and it was a great piece of recognition for twelve years of hard work and dedication to Kleeneze. The morning it arrived was really weird; a lorry arrives at your door at 7am, the man delivers the car into your drive, you sign for it and he leaves! And you’re left with a shiny new £24,000 car in your drive. It simply doesn't get any better. We celebrated by having some of the local team and our Upline to the house for a champagne breakfast. It truly was a dream moment for the Dream Team. NEXT ISSUE IN THE SPOTLIGHT: JOHN & WENDY ENGLISH! This is your chance to ask the Gold SEDs about how they became one of the first distributorships to walk away with a Mini Cooper, what pushed them to qualify for the prestigious Sea Goddess conference and where they get the ideas for their inspirational training sessions. Email your questions to [email protected] And we will select ten of the most challenging, interesting and popular questions for John and Wendy to answer.

HOW TO FIND CUSTOMER FOR PARTIES To help you expand your business here are a few tips on finding customer for your parties. • Always wear Cabouchon jewellery – you never know who will ask where you brought it • Let all your friends and family know about your new business • Leave brochures in beauty salons & hairdressers • Hang a sign in your car window about your business • Place adverts in the local papers

• Part-time workers • Mothers with small children • Women whose families are grown up • People who are not working but would like to find something to occupy their time • People who are looking to earn extra money for a special purchase, car or luxury holiday • Guests who ask lots of questions

I asked a good friend of mine to show a few Cabouchon brochures to her colleagues at work. Her work can be extremely stressful for her and her team, yet seven people placed orders amounting to £420 (€630). This earned me £136 (€204). This friend also held a home party with me and the same team of people came. We had a great evening, a glass of wine, fun and laughter. And orders again of over £400 (€600)! Earnings £126 (€189) for 2 – 3 hours of fun! As a thank-you Hostess Gift, I gave her a percentage of the total order value in jewellery pieces she loved the most and she was thrilled. This is a fantastic way for the hostess to get her friends together, have a great evening and earn some beautiful jewellery at the same time.

EXPAND YOUR BUSINESS THROUGH RECRUITING To help you expand your business here are a few tips on what to look and listen for when looking for new consultants

I also take my Cabouchon Party Kit out to various charity events, and to school fetes etc, and set up a table, meeting lots of new leads for the business, and booking further parties.

• People who are looking for an extra income • Someone who is temporarily out of work

DISCOVER A NEW WAY OF LIFE All our lives, our parents, teachers, friends and even the media have been guilty of setting up expectations for us – go to school and get good grades, so you can then go on to get a good job and make good money. Not true. Many people now are looking to start their own business, so they can have more time to be with their family, give up the grind of a 9-5 job, have financial security, more choices and a lot more freedom. In fact, right now millions of people in the UK are disillusioned with their choice of career and the direction life is taking. leisure – a high percentage of customers are familiar with this easy-to-follow process and repeat custom is strong. There are three ways to make money with Kleeneze: 1.Retailing. Distributors initially earn more money via retailing products from the Kleeneze catalogues. When a catalogue has been delivered to an individual’s customer base, the distributor earns money on all the products sold, including those that they buy for themselves. 2.Sponsoring. The second way to earn money is to sponsor others into the Kleeneze Opportunity – just like in the aforementioned network marketing model. Individuals earn from the people they have sponsored into their business. The money earned through this activity is known as Volume Profit. 3.Royalty Bonus. These are also paid when individuals have built a network or team of their own, as they are able to earn from the activity of other members.

One company that is dramatically changing the way people traditionally work is Kleeneze – a network marketing opportunity that has the potential to change lives. It gives individuals the chance to be their own boss, work full or part-time and have more family time, escape the rat race, get out of debt fast or simply do something different by taking control of their life and becoming a Kleeneze distributor. How it works • You’re an independent distributor – no boss! • Work at your own pace – part-time, spare-time, full-time • Simple and straightforward – no special skills required • Unlimited earning potential • Incentives and rewards include cash bonuses, cars and foreign travel • Kleeneze does not involve selling. Recipients are simply left to browse the catalogues and order at their
