Myths & Legends Hera:

Hera was goddess of marriage and the queen of Olympus.

Poseidon:

Poseidon was the god of the sea.

Hades

Hades was king of the dead. Zeus

Zeus is the king of thunder

Why were myths created

Apollo

Myths were created by drawing peoples attention and remembering their religion by all of the stories that they tell. For example, David Hume says “Hume observed that without an idea of cause and effect, we would be utterly incapable of making sense of the world around us”.

Apollo was the god of music and healing Athena

Athena was the goddess of wisdom. Ares

PERSONAL CONNECTION: One personal connection that I have with ancient Greek god is that I have my own family tree like all the other Greek gods have.

3 RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN GREEK GODS: Zeus, Artemis, and Persephone all are in common because they are all Greek gods. Artemis and Persephone are connected because they are all female but Zeus is not a female. These greek god also have a connection by all of them have a special symbol of their good name.

3 DIFFERENT GREEK GODS Zeus: The story about Zeus trying to save the world and his family but there was an evil monster that wanted to kill everyone including him, and he also had to go throw a whole journey to get to the battleground because there was also a war going on. Zeus believed that he wanted to save his family from an evil monster that stole them and wanted to kill them. Zeus also believed that a monster wanted to kill everybody and he wanted to stop that.  Artemis: Artemis is the sister of Apollo and she is the goddess of nature. She wanted revenge for the deer because a king killed a deer and she really likes deer. Artemis believed the nature, animals, field, forest, beautiful woods and mountains.  Persephone: She was in a valley and the ground opened up, the underworld king took her and she cried and cried and he feeds her and this made her want to stay; and she became the underworld queen. Persephone believed that she can go back to the human world and not just be a god for her whole life but she was poised.
