THE EFFECTS OF PLAYING COMPUTER GAMES

In modern society, it is very common playing computer games especially among the teenager. Even though computer games are common in our life, they have not only good effects but also bad effects. Hence, there are various bad effects of playing computer games. The first effect of playing computer games is, it will lead to the health problems. Some people get carried away with playing their computer games for excessive amounts of time. Their health might be affected negatively if they play computer games persistently. For example, their eyesight might get worse because they are constantly staring at the computer. Furthermore, they may be at risk of gaining extra weight due to lack of daily exercise. Apart from that, playing computer games can cause one to lack some social skills. If the teenager especially the students are spending too much time playing computer games, they may not be getting enough social interaction at home. They should have genuine communication skill, so they can interact with teachers and classmates while at school. For example, play board games that can boost your social skills. Lastly, playing computer games can cause you to spend more money. This is because the addictive computer games sometimes are very expensive in price. Some teenager will lie to their parents to get the money from them. Besides, playing computer games require costly equipment such as the gaming mouse, gaming keyboard, gaming monitor and many more that will give burden to their parents. In conclusion, there a lot of consequences of playing computer games either physically or mentally. It will indirectly mess up with one brain and cause a long terms effect on a person. Hence, one should always take precaution in dealing with computer games as it will bring not only harm but will affect their life entirely.
