TITLE: EVOLUTION – HUMAN EVOLUTION

Nowadays, most of the scientists are very interested in the issue of evolution. Actually evolution is a very long process that involving the changes of the genetic materials of a population of organism from one generation to the other generation. In this concept, the evolution actually is producing the new species either by the factors of mutation of by the force of adaptation. The process of evolution actually happened by the chances of events. It does and might happen every days at anywhere around the world. It can be an event that might not be clearly observable. For example, the evolution might be just happening as a gene mutation that occur in one of the chromosome of an organism. This mutation might bring a huge changes to that particular species in the nest few generation. Other than that, evolution might be trigger by the means of the natural selection. Each living organism actually intended to choose the best partner to copulate. This happen because each of the living organism wanted to ensure the continuity of their own species in the future. If they breed with a partner that is weak, by chance of event, the species might lost or extinct in the world after a few decade. Thus, the natural instinct of the living organisms will always make them to choose and copulate with other individual of the same species that is stronger and healthier. The natural selection will make the weaker individual of the same species eliminated from the surrounding. In other word, the individuals possessing the trait that is presumably weak in an environment will extinct after a few generations. At the same time the gene of that species might be as well lost in that environment too. For example, we might not find the dark – coloured butterflies in the snowing area. This is because the dark coloured butterflies will be very obvious to the predators and they might not be a good survival compare to the white butterflies. The same goes to the dark area such as cave. There are usually more dark – coloured butterflies rather than the white butterflies. Using the same example of the butterflies, the evolution might not because of the natural selection but can be as well due to the needs of adaptation of the butterflies to the environment. Adaptation sometimes might be a more reasonable theory to be accepted for the evolution of an organism of a species. Some of the species might need to alter the physical characteristic of them to adapt to the environment for survival. Thus, this adaptation had made them alter their genetic and that alteration will be brought to the next generation. This situation is what we known as evolution.

The same concept actually applies on the emergent of the Homo sapiens that is human beings. The father of evolution that is Charles Darwin actually has postulates that human actually

originated or evolve from our nearest sibling species that is the hominines or commonly known as the great apes. The scientists believe that human actually evolved in 2 million years ago in Africa. At that time, there are a few species in the genus of Homo sp. They are the Homo habilis, Homo erectus, Homo ergester, Homo neanderthalansis, Homo sapien and a few other species. All these species are believed to be evolved from one after another. One interesting fact is that scientists believe that the evolution of human actually branched out from the species of chimpanzees. From the chimpanzees, the evolution has promoted the emergence of the first species of the genus of Homo that is the Homo habilis. After all, this first species evolved among themselves to produce the next few species. This evolution occurs due to the adaptation to the changes of the environment of the Earth. By the end of the evolution, the last species of this genus is the Homo sapien that is the only non – extinct species on Earth. That is the story of how actually human beings are related to the theory of evolution introduced by the scientists. As the theory is introduced, there are people accept the theory as well as there are people that do not accept that theory. It is actually very dependent on how the individual think and how much he or she is able to accept the theory of evolution against the religious aspects.
