Geography: Australia is the 6th largest nation in the world. It lies south of Indonesia and Papua Ny Guinea. It lies between two big oceans. On the east side you will find the Pacific ocean and on the west side the Indian ocean. It is a big country, but it consists of mainly lowland, with huge deserts and a few relativly low mountains. The highest point is Mount Kosciuszko at 2,229 ( two point two two nine) meters. In the south east of Australia you will find huge areas where they grow food. Language: English is the language that is used in Australia, but there is also a aboriginal language. Some of the people speak European, Arabian and Asian languages. The english spoken in Australia is a bit different from the english we know. They have their own slang. For example the word for friend is mate and the word for Australia is Oz.
