Why I believe in post-trib rapture I heard about "the voice of the martyrs" recently, and I was touch to see my brothers and sisters in the world who are suffering for Christ. I am from Canada, so you know that we don't suffer much hardship because of our faith here, except when we share our belief and people respond negatively. I do believed that all Christians will go through the "great tribulation" of the end of the ages. I have studied the end time since my youth, but I came to the conclusion, in this past year, that Jesus will not come twice again, but only once, at the battle of Armageddon, and that's when the "rapture" will occur. Most Christians that I know believe in a pre-trib rapture, but I didn't find this in the Bible. I think the main reason they believe this, apart from the fact that they are not persecuted right now because they live in north America, or western Europe, is that they think that the Day of the Lord is the last 7 year period of Daniel's 70th week. But I didn't find that in the Bible. What I found is that the Day of the Lord, the Coming as a thief, the Lord's wrath and the second coming of Jesus Christ is all the same event (Rev 11:15-19; Zeph 1:14-16; Joel 2:10-31; 1Thes 5:2; Mt 24:29-31, 42-43; 2Pet 3:10; 1Cor 1:68). There will be a final 7 years period, as recorded in Daniel 9:24-27. The end of the 69th week is when Jesus was crucified and then went to Heaven. “And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for Himself; and the people of the prince who shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. And the end thereof shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war desolations are determined.” (Da 9:26 KJ21) We see also that the destruction of the temple was prophesied in this verse, and this occurred at around 70AD. So the 70th week of Daniel is still to come. It will start when the Antichrist will confirm a covenant for 7 years (Dan 9:27). It is probably the covenant that God made with Abraham concerning the land of Israel and its borders in Genesis 15:18 “On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, "Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the River Euphrates:” (Ge 15:18 KJ21) Then in the middle of this final seven year, the Antichrist “shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease. And for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."” (Da 9:27 KJ21) This passage is explained further in Daniel 11 “for the ships of Chittim shall come against him. Therefore he shall be grieved and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant. So shall he do; he shall even return, and have accord with those who forsake the holy covenant. And armies shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place there the abomination that maketh desolate. And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries; but the people who do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” (Da 11:30-32 KJ21) Paul referred to the same event in 2 Thessalonians 2:4 “who opposeth God and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sitteth as God in the temple of God, showing himself to be God.” (2Th 2:4 KJ21) The same is said in Revelation 13:5 “And there was given unto him a mouth, speaking great things and blasphemies, and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.” (Re 13:5)

Many Christians believe that the "great tribulation" will last 7 years. But here the Bible says that it will only last the final 3 and a half years. When Jesus' disciples asked Him what will be the sign of the end of the ages and of His return, He said that the event triggering the great tribulation will be when the Antichrist will sit in the temple, as Daniel prophesied: "When ye therefore shall see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoso readeth, let him understand),” ... “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.” (Mt 24:15, 21) Paul explain that this holy place is the temple of God: “Let no man deceive you by any means, for that Day shall not come, unless there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition, who opposeth God and exalteth himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sitteth as God in the temple of God, showing himself to be God.” (2Th 2:3-4 KJ21) Many scripture passages tell us that the great tribulation will last 3 and a half years: Dan 9:27; Dan 7:25; Dan 12:1, 6-7; Rev 12:6, 14; Rev 13:5 Jesus says that he will come after these event and that's when He will gather His elect (the rapture). "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken, and then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and with great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Mt 24:29-31 KJ21) We note here that at Jesus' second coming, the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give her light, the stars fall from heaven and the powers of heaven are shaken. The same things are happening during the 6th seal, the 7th trumpet, the 7th bowl of wrath, the Day of the Lord and God's wrath. There is also a big earthquake, great hailstone and lightnings. “And I beheld when He had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; and the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs when she is shaken by a mighty wind. And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; and they said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great Day of His wrath has come, and who shall be able to stand?"” (Re 6:12-17 KJ21) “And the seventh angel sounded, and there were great voices in Heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign for ever and ever!" And the four and twenty elders, who sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces and worshiped God, saying, "We give Thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, who art, and wast, and art to come, because Thou hast taken to Thee Thy great power, and hast reigned. And the nations were angry; and Thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that Thou shouldest give reward unto Thy servants the prophets, and to the saints and them that fear Thy name, small and great, and shouldest destroy them that destroy the earth." And the temple of God was opened in Heaven; and there was seen in His temple the ark of His testament, and there were lightnings and voices, and thunderings

and an earthquake, and great hail.” (Re 11:15-19 KJ21) “And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of Heaven from the throne, saying, "IT IS DONE!" And there were voices and thunders and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as has not been since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake and so great. And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and great Babylon came to remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath. And every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent. And men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for the plague thereof was exceeding great.” (Re 16:17-21 KJ21) “For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath have I spoken: Surely on that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel, so that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at My presence; and the mountains shall be thrown down and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. And I will call for a sword against him throughout all My mountains, saith the Lord GOD. Every man’s sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him and upon his troops and upon the many people that are with him an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify Myself and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations; and they shall know that I am the LORD.’” (Eze 38:19-23 KJ21) “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand— a day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains. A great people and a strong, there hath not been ever the like; neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them, and behind them a flame burneth. The land is as the Garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.” (Joe 2:1-3 KJ21) “The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.” (Joe 2:31 KJ21) At the moment, the temple has not been rebuilt yet, but the Jews are ready for it (see http://www.templeinstitute.org/main.htm and http://www.youtube.com/watch? gl=CA&hl=en&v=RdX_Ee7PiF8&feature=related). The peace treaty is almost signed between Israel and the international community. We are almost in this final stage before the Second coming of our Lord Jesus-Christ. That thrills me! I am excited to be part of the final generation before my Savior comes in great glory to rule the earth. The church has to suffer persecution. We, north American, need to realize that hardship might happen to us also, and that being secure with Christ doesn't mean safe.
