Employee Welfare Measures

Statutory measures under the Factories Act: – Washing Facilities – Facilities for Storing and Drying Clothing – Facilities for Sitting – First Aid Appliances and Medical benefits – Canteen – Shelter, Rest Rooms and Lunch Rooms – Welfare Officer

Non Statutory Measures – Group Personal Accident Insurance • All major injuries • Special leave with full pay(up to 2 years), reimbursement of expenses upto 100% • Permanent total disablement compensation : 100 months salary

– Manipal Hospital Scheme • Serious : 1.5 lakhs + 1.5 lakhs + 3 lakhs • Major illness : Rs. 60,000 (above 15,000) • Narayana Hrudayalaya, Mahaveer Jain Heart centre, Bangalore Kidney Foundation, Curie centre for Oncology

– Mico Contributory Benevolent Fund:( M C B F) • Committee consists of 3 members from Management representatives & 5 from M E A • Constituted with the mutual contribution by the Company and the permanent workmen • Rs.122.00 + Rs.50.00 • 2455 MCBF members • Total collection is Rs. 4,22,260.00 per month, monthly deficit of 6 lakhs

– Credit Co-operative Society: • The Mico Employees Co-operative Society, is one of the best co-operative societies in Karnataka. • Eligibility: All permanent employees & RBEI staff are eligible to take membership • Membership enrolment: By paying Rs.41/- towards membership & one share of Rs. 10/- or Rs.1,130/- for membership and max. of 100 shares of Rs. 10 each.
