Dear Mr. Eilberg, during the past 12 month we treated over 70 patients with the new drug eluting balloon ELUTAX (2nd Generation), which is produced by AACHEN RESONANCE. A mayor part of our patients were recruited due to bare metal or drug eluting instent restenosis. After predilatation with conventional balloon ELUTAX treatment was performed. Immediate results were good, only a very small part of this population had restenosis again. The latter patients we treated with CABG procedure, in some cases not eligible for CABG we performed ELUTAX treatment a second time. In a few cases where drug eluting treatment seemed to be mandatory, but patients where under cumadin, we treated the lesions with ELUTAX and implanted a bare metal stent to limit the additional antithrombotic treatment to 4 weeks instead of 12 month.
