egg® Product Overview Yesterdayʼs WiMAX:

It receives WiMAX signals then instantly creates a Wi-Fi zone around it, so any Wi-Fi-enabled device can access the Internet, just by being around it.

If youʼre a WiMAX user, you need some form of WiMAX adapter to connect to the Internet. They usually look like this: They usually come in a shape of a USB dongle, and they take up one of the USB slots on your laptop computer.

Internet

Service operator

This is okay if you have a Microsoft Windowscompatible laptop computer with Windows installed in it; but what if you own a Mac? Does your WiMAX adapter come supplied with a Macintosh driver? What if you just donʼt want to carry around that big, bulky laptop and just want to use your iPod touch to browse the Web?

The WiMAX signal weakens when used indoor because WiMAX uses high-frequency signal band--this characteristics limits its usability.

Like this gentleman here, you have to bring your computer near where the window is to get better signal reception.

The power button on the bottom of egg is the only thing that requires user intervention. Easy user interface, anyone? To get connected, all you have to do is press this power button and turn on the Wi-Fi switch on your device; and youʼre ready to go--absolutely no need to install any kind of software or device drivers. Ever.

Remember the gentleman on the left? Unlike the conventional WiMAX adapter that has to be stuck on the computer at all time, just place egg near the window and the Wi-Fi deices within the egg Wi-Fi area can enjoy superior connection quality.

This is the old way to access the Internet via WiMAX.

WiMAX--the way it was meant to be. Introducing egg® by Interbro. egg is a never-before-seen, worldʼs first portable WiMAX-to-WiFi router.

Exercise generosity. egg allows multiple users (3 by default and 252 maximum) with wireless network capability connect to the Internet simultaneously.

At only 110 mm long, 61.8 mm wide, 28.3 mm thick, and weighing just 130 grams, itʼs small enough to fit in your palm and in your pocket.

Or if you want speed and privacy, you can set up egg so that only you or your friends have access to it.

With the built-in rechargeable battery, it provides constant Internet connectivity for up to five hours, which will outlast most laptop computer batteries on earth. Of course, it can be switched off for prolonged operation time.

5 hours

One of the largest WiMAX service operator in the world, Korea Telecom(KT), has decided to provide egg to its customers as an alternative to the WiMAX adapters it has been offering.
