Economic development has become a right of people living in poverty.
MDGs and Economic Development In the 2000 UN Summit the world leaders established eight Millennium Development Goals to be achieved by 2015. Goal #1: Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. Reduce by half the proportion of people living on less than a dollar a day Reduce by half the proportion of people who suffer from hunger
Achieving this goal drives economic development!
Monterrey Consensus and E.D March 2002: * The UN convened an International Conference on Financing for Development in Monterrey, Mexico. * Both MDGs and the Monterrey Consensus provides the key normative underpinning of contemporary development strategy.
QUESTION??? According to what had already done by the nations on the MDGs, it still true that the MDGs will be halved by 2015, or you think it will be done before, or they need more time, if so, why and why not ??? Global studies students and other national and international fields are ready for you to develop the World, “Good Luck, all !!!”
