ACTION
THERAPUETIC EFFECTS: -It is active against many gram-positive aerobic cocci and much less active against Gram-negative bacteria. -Effectively treats osteomyelitis, otitis media, streptococcal pharyngitis, prostate and respiratory infections, skin and urinary tract infections, eliminating or reducing infection ADVERSE EFFECTS: -Angioedem a, anaphylaxis, superinfections, diarrhea(general ly mild), nausea
INDICATION
To treat infections caused by susceptible pathogens in respiratory and urinary tracts, middle ear, skin, soft tissue, and bone.
CONTRAINDICATI ON
NURSING RESPONSIBILITIE S Hypersensitivity -Determine to history of cephalosporins hypersensitivity and related reactions to antibiotics, cephalosporins Pregnancy and penicillin category:B, and history of lactation. other drug allergies before therapy is initiated. -Do not breastfeed while taking these drugs.
