Incident Report: Flood in the school caused by high tide.
August
16, 2018
1. It was Monday morning August 13, 2018 when the teachers noticed the unusual increment of the sea level that reaches until the knee. it was very alarming since it was the first time the teachers encounter such kind of high tide. Later, while the classess is still going on, one Grade-9 student under the advisory of Mrs. Evelyn S. Rodriguez found a deadly seasnake known to Cab-ilan as (Walo-walo) or (sigwayo).
2. Last July 15, 2018, Sunday, the flood almost reaches the windows of the classrooms, there were so many things got damaged (books, notebooks etc) but the teachers and students did not able to witness the said incident since it was Sunday. Only Mrs. Rosemarie Bayeta Grade 7 adviser of Cab-ilan NHS, whos residence is just 5 metres away from the school witness the said incident. The cause of the said flood was a combination of heavy rain and 2m high tide.
3. The flood in school due to high tide started in the year 2016 but not as high and as often this year. Also, the past years, no seasnakes was observed in the schhol ground when the sea level reaches the school area.
4. When the sea level reaches 2 meters again, heavy rainfall will occur, big waves of Habagat will hit the school which is one of the factors why the flood move higher than the normal, worse flood than the above listed incident will surely be observed.
5. In behalf of Cab-ilan National High School, I would like to ask immediate action to this problem since it is Habagat season.
