Dreams of Prophecy It was 6 o’clock in the morning when I woke up in my pad. I almost forgot that I have an appointment at 9 am with Mr. Lucio Tan. I hurriedly took a bath and fixed myself. I picked up my blackberry and my Louis Vuitton on the couch and I started the engine of my “Bugatti Veyron”. It’s my daily routine to read newspaper inside my car, and besides I’m too early for my conference meeting. As I started reading, I automatically smile when I saw the names of MARK ANGELO UNIDA, being well-known IT software who graduated Suma Cumlaude in TIP and JOSEPH ERVIN FLORES, a renowned designer of the new iPhone 10. When I turned to the next page, I was indeed mesmerized that my high school friends, ANNABELLE BANIQUED and DANICA MAE ANUNCIADO who both studied in Ateneo de Manila University, passed the CPA Licensure Examination and got the 10th and 11th places. I’m so pleased for both of them, I know this is their dream yet, they made it real. I checked the time and it was already 7:36 am so I’ve decided to go before I get stranded, I opened the radio and turned it in AM Station. As I drive along the EDSA, I heard a familiar name from the radio. She is no other than CARMEN YANG. She is the owner of one of the best and effective skin care products in the Philippines and now she will open her 28th skin line business outside our country. I’m 30 minutes early in the meeting so I sit back and relax in my office couch while watching PBA Cup Awarding Ceremony. And there are 5 boys who caught my attention. The five boys who really admire basketball ever since. DUSTIN GIL TABOADA, who is now the finals most valuable player, GABRIEL LUIS DEPOSITAR, the all-star game most valuable player, PATRICK EDWARD GARCIA, the best player of the conference, RAFAEL JOAQUI FRANCE, the scoring champion for this season and JOHN JESSIE MALE, the defensive player of the year. A smile formed in my face as I see them hugging each other and warmly accept their trophies, medals and other prizes. How I wish my other batch pals are also successful. When I’m about to think afar from reality, my secretary knock on the door and said that the panel members are already complete. After our 2 hours discussion, I went to my favorite ice cream store. I sat on the couch and get my MacBook Pro. Suddenly, there were two noisy people who caught my care.

When I’m about to stand up and talked to them, I was in the state of shocked because these two ladies are CLARISSE ANN CASTILLO who got the 5th spot in “The Philippines’ 20 Most Powerful Women in Business” and her best friend, ARLAINE JOY GASPAR who is now a famous blogger because of her desire in travelling. We chatted for almost one hour, reminisced our sweet high school memories. They both congratulated me for being the most paid accountant in the Philippines. It’s already 12:05 in the afternoon and I’ve decided to go. We bid our goodbyes. I went to the nearest bookstore here in Makati to buy the newest book of Nicholas Sparks and J.K Rowling. Inside the store while looking in the latest published books, a magazine shelves beside it stopped me from what I am doing. It was VINCENT ICE MORAGA who was the cover of OLAPIC magazine for being one of the top 20 richest business tycoons in Asia who now conquer the road in South America. On the back of the magazine, upon seeing its cover, I silently mumbled. “And now they are having a comfortable life together with their diamond suit cases”. It’s GENE ALLEN ELEGIO, the owner of the biggest real estate in Los Angeles, California, ARWIN DIZON, the CEO of Fortune 500, the largest company in Miami Heat, Florida, MARK SHEDRIC UY, who is now president of the biggest luxurious ships in Brisbane, Australia with its good looking captain, CARL JOSHUA SANTOS, the most paid marine captain in Australia and ALLEN GABRIEL PASCUAL, the proprietor of well-known coffee shops in Macedonia, Greece. Out of curiosity, I grabbed that OLAPIC magazine and went to the counter to pay it together of Nicholas and J.K’s books. I opened it as I sat on a bench inside this bookstore. And it made me surprised. I remembered my classmates, HANNAH FAYE BAUTISTA, who got the Heritage Award, it is the highest honor bestowed by the International Association of Woman Police in USA. Together with KENNETH GABUCAN, who is now the Chief of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, they lead the biggest mission in USA with their own teams. How brave they are to plan and secure the safety of Americans. After 20 minutes sitting in the bench, I received a text from unknown number saying “Ms. Fernandez, we reserved you a ticket for an art exhibit today; we hope that you will come. See you”. I’ve asked my mind, “Sino kaya yon? And how come naman na makakapunta ako kung di ko alam yung lugar.” Then after a few seconds, my phone beeps. It is the unknown sender who sent me the details of the today’s event. I get my car keys and drive it to Museum

of the Filipino People in Ermita, Manila. 4:00 pm when I reached my destination. I tried to call the unknown sender but his/her phone cannot be reach. And someone covered my eyes, I instantly removed it and to my surprised it was JUSTIN YAMBAO, an artist designer of all famous international and local design agencies from Philippines to Paris. We both hugged each other and he offered to enter the museum. But before we paced to the entrance, a girl dropped a newspaper, I took it and I saw CYRYLL CORALES in the business part of it being one of the electrical engineer of Worley Parsons in North Sydney, the second International Design Firms Company. The exhibit is really fine and I appreciated Justin for inviting me. 7:00 pm when I decided to go home, and I admitted the traffic is very thick. So I decided to open my flat screen TV in my car, unexpected happiness shoots me when RAMSIE CEZKA LIM, a famous international lawyer who is now a part of the United Nation Alliance and finis her master degree in Toronto, Canada. She will flight tomorrow morning with her two best friends SYRELL MARI PALISOC, one of the greatest designer of the number 5th architecture firm company all over the world, the perkins plus will, in Chicago, Illinois and DRENZ MIKKO DELA CRUZ, who finished his study in University of the Philippines, Baguio City and got the APA International Humanitarian Award as the most influenced psychologist in the Philippines. They will go to the 1975 concert in UK together with ENRICO CABERTO, who is known as one of the finest and kindest pilot of Air Asia Philippines and currently receiving emails from Doha, Qatar biggest airline, and DAVID GABRIEL POE, the superior aircraft mechanic who can buy iPhone every week due to his huge salary and now planning to go in Abu Dhabi to take the opportunity waiting for him. And I remembered our little Cara who is now one of the superb and most paid international flight attendant due to her wonderful accent and startling body in the city of love, London, Paris. No other than SARAH JUSTINE BARTOLO.. I came back from reality when I saw the vehicles already taking their different routes. I started the engine but someone knock on the window of my car. I put down the glass window and I was so shocked for a moment when I saw the man. It was my high school boy best friend, AMOS JAMES MACAM; he is now taking his own path internationally by being a simple but money to burn business tycoon. He said that his car stopped for unknown reason. So I immediately go out in my wagon and help him to repair his

vehicle. But two people inside his car smiled at me and they were TENCHI RAPHAEL SAN ANDRES, a well-known geologist in our country and one of the members of the AAPG, the world's largest professional geological society. And the other one is RENZ IAN CAPIZ, the electrical mechanic who succeeded to finish his study and now big companies hiring him and offering him big salary. Next thing I knew, they waved their hands at me, indication that we need to go into different paths. Past 9:00 pm when I arrived at my two story house, I opened a can of soda and turned on the TV. I was about to turn it off, but I stop for a motion and a curved shaped in my face when I saw RUVIE ANNE PINLAC, a licensed electrical engineer who is now continuing her dreams in Washington, DC and NYL GIAN JUNIO, a brilliant history professor in Georgetown University as they paved the way the roads of successful people in United States. I’m happy for both of them. Before I sleep, it is my routine to check my email every night if there’s someone who mailed at me. And I didn’t fail because I received two succeeding emails from GLOMER ANN CAMAYRA, the most funded graphic designer of the prominent company, Dream Works and now expanding her studio globally and from REGINA MEI BUENAVENTURA, the finest engineer of the high class global design firm, Jacobs in Pasadena, Calif., U.S.A and now taking her path to be one of the top most successful women in the field of civil engineering.. My two girlfriends who were inviting me to joined them in their respective conference meetings in Singapore and Spain. I laughed, and said to myself “Sabay pa sila nagemail at talagang nagiinvite eh alam ko naming kahit humindi ako magiinsist pa din sila. I heard the phone ringing and terribly wake me up from my deep slumber. It was just a dream. Everything was a fantasy. But I know in God’s perfect time these will be put into reality. Who knows what we can do to reach our objectives. Because a dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.
